Word around the town is that there is a big out of a fallout in the Glen, Maghera camp with their manager telling the boys involved with the macrory panel at st pats that they can't play in the crucial play-off match because of ulster minor.

However some of the lads are defying the whip and playing anyway (or so im led to believe) and the glen banniesteoir has form for dropping players who defy the party whip so watch this space!

That record is wrong as you have 6 dates in anyway, Burren were beat in the 92 final by Lavey.

The last Down club to win it was Burren in 1988, its 22 years since a Down Club won, and Burren along with Bryansford have won it 7 times between them since the competition records began in 1968.

7 wins in 42, he said down teams hadnt a great record and once every 6 years is hardly something to be shouting from the rooftops about!

Really looking forward to Sundays game I have to say I have a sneaky feeling Ballinderry can do it. They seem to have the right blend of youth and experience and I fancy them to give Cross their toughest game.

I fail to see all the talk of Burren they have no recent pedigree to suggest they are capable of beating Cross and Down teams haven't a great record in the Ulster Club. Whoever wins this match will win Ulster I think! Bderry by 2

1 Crossmaglen Rangers 8 1996, 1998, 1999, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010. N/A
2 Burren 5 1983, 1984, 1985, 1987, 1988 1992
3 Bellaghy 4 1968, 1971, 1994, 2000 1998

At a quick glance you can see you're talking shite  :D

What they last won an ulster just under 20 years ago?

Sorry to say it but that idea would never work in a million years, the players train all year long playing football and only participate in the International Rules as it is an opportunity to represent their country.

Agree International rules is dead duck and Spillane said on Late Late Show you only watched it for the fights anyway.

really the top Australian players only participate in Irish series as they want the tours so it should go.

Ciaran Gourley hanging up the boots also according to BBC Sport.  Dont think he has featured much in the last couple of years tho.

There goes Tyrone's championship ambitions, Ciaran Gourleys gone ;)

Tyrone have a ready made replacement for Brian Mc Guigan in Peter Harte, shouldn't be too hard for them to find a 'defender' who can bomb forward and then come back and join in the swarm to replace Jordan (not taking away from Jordan though, he was tremendous at what he done) but as for Gourley he will never be replaced.  ::)
