It's a relegation trophy, a B c'ship, for teams who were put out early. They beat Antrim and Fermanagh to win it!

Disappointing for this promising minor team  but it was always out of their hands today. They needed firstly to win today which they did impressively but they needed  Monaghan to beat donegal today but Monaghan didnt need to win and Donegal did, so it was very unlikely that they were ever going to get through today in this position.

How many promising minor teams are we going to let management setups ruin before we install the correct people to start developing the underage talent we have in this county??
Get that current man out now and get Laverty to install who he wants - it has worked with u20 group..

Genuinely starting to feel sorry for Brolly. GAA people who once valued his opinion now laugh at him, not with him and no-one believes a word he says.

He wrote an article the week before the league final saying it would be a success if Derry get within 6 points of this amazing Dublin team. Since then he's made a few comments that it's only the league. Then on his podcast last week he said he'll support those Derry lads no matter what as they are giving everything for the jersey, it's just Mickey Harte he doesn't like, but a few months ago he was saying no Derry player is good enough to start the Dublin team. The quality just isn't there and processed football can only get you so far.

From a football point of view he wants nothing more than Dublin to hammer everyone and he can then somehow link it to Pat Gilroy.

As a Dungiven man I find it very hard to listen to him these days. He is a walking contradiction. He's not stupid and I suppose he is staying relevant as we are talking about him so he's probably achieving what he set out to do.

I struggle to listen to Brolly anymore too. Used to enjoy him but he comes across now as slightly unhinged. Uses his platforms to target those who he hates incl Derry players and strikes me as a man who is content when Derry lose, he's not a real supporter. It's pretty clear to me of those who he targets have all one thing in common, he's highly jealous of them. He only ever has one objective and that is to make everything about him!!

Hayes had a row in a nightclub with a fella I don't think it's comparable to what Gallagher was accused of.

This group have definitely had their share of hammerings over the years, and that being the case we are all to blame. Let's not put this at the door of the management or even the players, they're out there doing their best.

Here's the ironic thing...and it's only my opinion....we could get 4 or 5 county seniors from this squad. I've seen some year groups we get a lot less than that.

Potentially Manus McCrossan and Niall Hynds would be midfield (in this team) and two Cargin seniors Conan and Conchuir Johnston were also missing yesterday.Cargins Big Charley McCann will turn into a baller before hes finished.

Tiernan McCormick has a massive future in Saffron if he can develop a bit more end product to match the flying runs.

I'm not deliberately cherry picking here, yesterday was hard to watch, but there's a batch here that need our support  not our derision.

The McRory Cup debate is a nonsense. Plenty of counties have very few players if any playing McRory Cup yet they compete at the top level. The issue starts and finishes with the clubs. Not enough quality players being produced. The easy answer doesn't exist. Its a numbers game along with old fashioned graft and hard work by good coaches who are in it for the long game.
