They always sound like f**king daleks to me.  Just with less integrity.

Fair enough.

But anyone who withholds their vote for Biden on Gaza is basically handing that issue and everything else over to Trump and all that he is going to unleash. I hope they're content with that choice.

You've been here long enough to know that just isn't true.  Most states are not competitive.  My not voting for Biden (or for Trump for that matter) isn't going to make an iota of difference to the outcome in NY.  Ditto someone voting for Kennedy in (e.g.,) Alabama.

Not the US as a whole, but Michigan (with it's high Muslim population) in particular.  Biden may well have lost that vote, and it might cost him.

I'm under no illusion that Trump would be better.  And this is largely why I'll be voting (again) for Stein: the only candidate to explicitly call this shit a genocide.

Not sure about that.  Inflation and (in Michigan particularly) genocide are his electoral issues.  Short of standing aside for one of The Squad, not sure any fresh faces would have handled either of these issues differently.

The people donating were always going to vote for him.  So this doesn't change anything for them.  What matters is how it affects swing voters in 5 or 6 competitive states.

Sentencing will be interesting.  Just 4 days before his party's congress.

Quote from: PadraicHenryPearse on May 24, 2024, 02:52:20 PMHere is a times if Israel article on Hamas offering long term ceasefire from 2015.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.timesofisrael.com/hamas-offers-long-term-ceasefire-in-exchange-for-end-of-blockade/amp/

We know Hamas offered to release all non combatant hostages in early October but Israel rejected it as it included not entering Gaza.

Offered again 2 or 3 weeks ago.  Hostages aren't the priority for Israel.

They're pretty similar.  Not too pushed either way.

Attack on Wembley on Netflix is pretty wild.  About the crowd control clusterfuck surrounding the England/Italy Euro final.   Well worth your time.

Fractured his shooting hand, missed the entire 4th quarter (though the result wasn't really in doubt at this point).

If the Knicks can stay healthy next year, they have a chance to the East, and then who knows...

Have the top teams got better or have the lower teams got worse?

Yes, they have.

Is O'Shea interested in having the job long term, or is he just filling in?

Evil on Netflix is a fun watch. A tongue-in-cheek show in which a group of (mostly) skeptical exorcists investigate various supernatural events. There are some mawkish moments, and some episodes focus a bit too much on the cutesy kids of the main female protagonist, but there are some great characters, and it's one of those rare shows that does the horror and the humor more or less equally well.
