Cavanagh was a great footballer and is a poor pundit.  His tendency to try to be controversial has come back to bite him here.  Burns has him bang to rights. That noise you can hear is him backpedalling.

Great angle for Dohertys score. He had no intention of calling a mark.
But something went wrong with the Armagh match ups there. Looked like Hall(?) left Doherty free to cover a man in the middle.

Defo something went wrong and i'm sure that will be well investigated.

On Hall, I just dont get his introduction but maybe that's just me. I think we had better options.

Always loved a good time travel film or book, loved the film About time, very simple approach to what could do with the ability to time travel.

So if you had 3 attempts to travel back in time, with these three options below

• Go back and have a word with yourself- What would you say?
• To witness a great/infamous event, be it your own or other event (give reasons)
• To change something, but beyond your DOB and reasons

I sort of wondered had Rian hurt himself as he was taken off just after he had slipped and gotten up a little gingerly.

I dont think those large scale changes are a good idea at all v Westmeath.  I expect a very tough battle.

Not honestly sure I could pick 3 Nirvana songs I like without using the Unplugged album.

Loved Nevermind when it first came out, but Nirvana are just a little too raw, too intense for a soft old chap like me.

Nevermind is a decent album. Bleach is by far their best tho

I dont think so, In Utero was their best for me.

My 17 year old said to me who thought it was a good idea to put that portal there. Do they not know the type of people who hang around there. Bonkers

They could put it anywhere and people would still act the ****. It's human nature. Could have it in ballsbridge and all the poshos would be coming out of the pubs and doing the same.

That said, corner of North Earl Street definitely a terrible location. Shocked it hasn't been vandalised yet.

Porn videos, images of the twin towers being hit, a woman mooning, kids giving the finger while their parents video and laugh... Not so sure that would happen everywhere.

I'd like to see a number of new faces start against Westmeath, and give others a break. Not taking Westmeath lightly, but we should still have enough to win whilst resting players for remaining matches.

So rest Andy Murnin, Rian O'Neill, Ryan Grugan, Aidan Forker, Aaron McKay and Stefan Campbell,

Start Jason Duffy, Tiaran Kelly, Aidan Nugent, Shane McPartlan, Connaire Mackin, Jarley Og Burns and Barry McCambridge (Well, start 6 out of those 7).

I don't know about changes but this definitely isn't a game Armagh should be considering giving players a rest in. If they were to lose the home match in that group there is a serious danger of not making it out of the group. The other two matches are very difficult.

Wouldn't be saying rest players but would like to see the thing freshened up, likes of the lads who came on the last day and did well should get more gametime or even start.

With the exception of Kildare (and who can ever trust Kildare), every team off a 4-6 week break outperformed expectation in Round 1 last year against the team coming off a provincial final. Some of them by a huge margin:

Mayo beat Kerry by 6 having been 4 points underdogs
Ros drew with Dublin as 7 pt underdogs
Westmeath lost by 1 v Armagh as 6 pt underdogs
Monaghan drew with Derry as 6 pt underdogs

Ball is firmly in Derry's court this weekend. Connacht final was entertaining but lowish on quality, and its hard to see Galway getting to the same pitch again after an emotional win. 3 or 4 good performers and Comer to carry proceedings again won't cut it. Wouldn't rule out Cavan against Mayo in group 2 either

2 week break not long enough? 3 weeks better and no Connacht title be better
