Just finished American Crime Story: People vs OJ Simpson - thought it was terrific.

Sure everyone knows how it plays out - but being young at the time never realized how badly the prosecution bungled the case.

Gonna try the 2nd season now - about the death of Gianni Versace

There is a great 5 part ESPN one Gabe if you haven't seen it, goes into even more detail, think it's the 30 for 30 people. OJ: Made in America

Ok so I'm a few years behind. Have 4 series of Breaking Bad on dvd. Currently in series 2, but sweet jaysus, it's an absolute chore to sit through. Im finding it so slow and bland. I'm really resisting the urge to fling it into the back of the fire, but I keep at it hoping it becomes this great show everyone has talked about

Am I the only one who thinks this?
Season 1 was boring as hell. Gets really good from 3 on.

I was tempted to give up after the first couple of Seasons , but glad I stuck it out , I didnt find any of the main characters in any way likeable  but it  really did improve after  , Mike  Gus & Saul  etc coming more to the fore really did add to the show

Not half as good in my opinion. If you're interested in that type of genre, there's 1 about the Menendez bros...compelling viewing

Watched the first episode of Narcos: Mexico, absolutely superb.

In line with discussion about well received series that you have certain level of expectation from, have just finished first series of Prison Break and was a real struggle to complete. Poor acting, far fetched, thinly written and very few credible characters even. Unlikely to continue but interested if others think it improves or is it "not for me"!

New season of American horror story is pretty decent.

First 2 seasons of Prison Break were excellent imo. Got bit silly then but I still watched it. The new season that came out last year was brutal.

Should I watch Narcos before Narcos: Mexico or does this one work on it's own.

You could probably watch it on it's own as it's pretty much a prequel. I've only watched the first two episodes but I believe some of the characters from the original series make an appearance in some of the later episodes.

I found Breaking Bad a bit of an anti-climax as well, the series I have enjoyed the most in the last year is Ray Donavon. Hard hitting and a character with Irish routes your always trying to figure out. His wife is played by Belfast actor Paula Malcomson so her role of the squawking ball breaker is very convincing  ;)
There's a man with a mullet going mad with a mallet in Millets

Ray Donovan was unreal at the start, had a bad season or two but the latest is very enjoyable.

Narcos Mexico was ok, not as good as any of the 3 seasons of the original Narcos show.

Absolutely. Apart from the 1st few episodes at the start of Season 5, its been consistently brilliant imo

The wife gets to pick what to watch the odd time so i recently had to sit through The Cry, a BBC series i believe.  I had recently enjoyed the bodyguard so i thought it might be ok.  I quickly learned that it was 4 hours of dragged out keek. One to avoid.
