Quote from: DuffleKing on February 10, 2024, 07:41:00 AMHow can there be such a poor understanding of the advantage rule at this stage.

If the fouled player commits an offence within the time limit of the advantage then original foul is immediately enforced. People seem to think "advantage" is some sort of licence to kill - you still have to play within the rules of the game. I counted 10 steps and irrespective of whether you thought it was 9 or 8 it was an obvious over carry at first glance.
That's not my understanding of the rule.
I believe the advantage and original free are cancelled and a free is given for the second foul. A free out in this case.

He's the son of Gary mcMichael who was blown up in his car..

He was set up by one's within the UDA..

That's something that should have changed with the new rule. If not the umpires, the linesmen or somebody should be charged with looking at square balls.
Referees must be guessing this half the time since the new rule came in.

Quote from: Tony Baloney on February 04, 2024, 11:08:39 AMIt's a particularly low bar the electorate have set if stringing a few intelligible sentences together is to be congratulated.
If this level of comprehension is within the ballpark of the standard then the speed at which Michelle O'Neill talks is entirely irrelevant.

There's not a chance you couldn't understand what she was saying.

There must be a clip out there of one of these unintelligible speeches??

Quote from: tiempo on February 04, 2024, 08:46:29 AMThe evolution of Michelle O'Neill is nothing short of remarkable. She has genuine presence and prowess now in front of camera, her delivery is on point, watching parts of the speech yesterday and today she strikes me as a stateswoman with the potential to achieve even more

She's very good, though at the start I did struggle to understand what she was saying She's slowed her speech now, do all Tyronies speak that fast?
That's a lazy exaggeration that jumped out of social media satire. She spoke a bit faster than most at the beginning but she was definitely intelligible.

No, they aren't.
Fights, and people looking them, have been a theme of town centre Friday & Saturday nights long before Cocaine had any place in Irish society.

Quote from: 93-DY-SAM on January 18, 2024, 10:58:59 AMBe interesting to know how many of those striking today are DUP voters and how many will vote for the DUP again.

The union trumps everything. The Unions anger is aimed squarely at CHH.
I think the unions need to tread carefully. This strike is pointless. Everyone agrees they need fair pay inc the UKG. So what is the point of the strike?
3 weeks down the line, I think it is fair to say it had some significance.

Sinn Fein - Economy, Education, Communities
DUP - Finance, Health
Alliance - Justice, Agriculture

Not sure who is left for Infrastructure

Would entirely scrapping it be that bad?
I mean, under the current rule a player can stand on the edge of the square and then move in on top of the keeper as soon as it is kicked.
Would it be much different if he was to start there?

Quote from: screenexile on January 29, 2024, 08:03:24 PMThis is by far the worst example of party leadership I've ever seen. They can't stop someone in the meeting live tweeting? Surely they'd have had the foresight not to let anyone in with their phone.

If Jim McGuinness could do it before the Dubs game surely JD should have done it tonight!
Someone is wearing a wire I'd say.

Quote from: LeoMc on January 29, 2024, 08:28:23 AMThe red card was harsh but Kilpatrick gave the red a decision to make
No square ball.

We often hear this trotted out.
A tug on the jersey gives the ref a decision to make.
The wrong decision would be to issue a red card. Just as it is here.
