I agree totally with his stance on poppy. This on the other hand was stupid. But he has a massive heart and never forgets people of Derry and particularly Creggan.

Unfortunately he can't start whinging now he gets abuse on the pitch.  Silly and immature for a lad who has went through so much. Crazy carry on by him.

That's why players shouldn't have social media accounts.  Best way to ruin a politician/actor etc, so they say, is to give them a Twitter account!

Agree, a top lad who had the ability to stand up for what he believed.  I wish more Irish people followed this stance: people in sport and the media etc.
Eh, he can ďstart whingingĒ when people say that he and/or his family should be killed. Whatever your take on his instagram post, it does not in any way excuse some of the abuse he receives and comments & attitudes like yours are unhelpful at best.

The many clubs who Rely on the social club for income will be getting in tight for the next while - Hope Govt or Croke will step up. Fundraising generally will be well done - tough times

Iíd say the clubs donít make much money bar Davittís, hasnít been much profit from our club since the peace process
i know what u mean but the General fundraising goes on around bar in r club. Surely the clubs wonít have to pay the same amount of fees and insurance this year?
Would they in turn be reducing or scrubbing their membership fees?
No - membership fees dont cover insurance and league fees in our club and I'd say Many. With Clubs loss of income members Will not expect that. The county has Saffron business Forum and CLub Aontroma going well and doesnt need to profit from the clubs - surely the GAA can do a deal with the insurnace people
Ye think? Thereís boys going to be getting it tight over the next while who could be doing with the few quid back. Remember that many clubs have a player membership at a much higher rate than a social membership. With no games being played, effectively everyone is a social member. If clubs are going to the county looking for a reduction/scrubbing of fees due to no games being played, it would be fairly hypocritical not to reciprocate that to its own members.

There will be many who have no issue paying anyway but please donít overlook those who will be struggling.

Look, closing beaches is like closing Cavehill or closing streets. When full lockdown comes, you wonít be allowed there without good reason. That will be soon, I think. I mean, you can call for beaches to be closed but having Royal Ave or OíConnell St open at the same time, youíre pissing into the wind.

Took a drive past Nutt's Corner market today. Whilst greatly reduced, still about 40/50 cars or so and 100/150 milling about.

I saw the message they had, basically saying, we're like a big shop so we're open.

Crazy stuff.

Before this, was anybody at it recently? Is it still all outdoors?

What sort of stuff do they sell nowadays?

Havenít been in 30 years, they were selling dvds when I was there and burgers! And cheap shite clothes
DVDs.....30 years..... :-\

Lord John Kilclooney
@KilclooneyJohn

Is that a real or a parody account? It doesn't have the blue tick, so it cannot be real, can it???

Fell across his comments. Seriously thought it was a WUM. You'd have to feel sorry for such an individual.
Nope.
