There's two Mayo lads consistently posting that teams are at a serious disadvantage if they have to play one game a week. What absolutely nonsense!!

Playing last week did Armagh zero harm and Derry getting an extra week off did them no good.

Derry need a reset. If I was Harte, for the Westmeath game I'd say here are my best 15, but I'm going to deliberately leave 5 of them on the bench (mostly Glas lads ), give other lads a chance, and have a mighty bench.

One of them (Mayo)is myself and it totally holds up, especially if you had an intense game the week before. I know as a Dublin follower you have hardly ever experienced this and thus oblivious to the affects.

Wonder if Derry could do a Babs Keating and sack Mickey Harte.

Just goes to prove, the League is worth F*** all.

Kerry sauntering to a win against Meath.  A waste of diesel for all concerned. A good advert for All Ireland Senior, Intermediate and Junior Championships.  Something most of us are well used to at club level so no big mental adjustment for senior inter county. Having the Tailteann isn't enough.

Yes, you could add other areas to the Junior Championship like Warwickshire, Kilkenny, Scotland, Gloucestershire, Hertfordshire, Lancashire, Yorkshire, Boston.

It'd be great for spreading the game and a Junior Championship could see Waterford, Carlow, Leitrim win an AI title.

Galway, Armagh or Derry if they draw Kerry in quarters will fancy the job I would say.

Might fancy it but whoever play Kerry in the Quarter final it will be three matches in three weeks against a rested Kerry and we seen what happened to Tyrone in that situation last year.

Same happened to Mayo v Dublin in their Quarter with three matches in three weeks.

The worst thing for Meath is they are still in the Championship and the agony continues. They are just a good Tailteann Cup team.

Kerry have been poor today pulling away now and will not be tested to the quarters while those teams will have played good opposition and will have bit of momentum having won a preliminary quarter final.
