Quote from: J70 on Today at 10:02:19 PMTop level football is getting depressing. It's not as if they steamrolled Dortmund. They had their chances and didn't put them away. Typically that means defeat against the big guns. But I agree with your main point.
City and Madrid way out in front. Others run them close, but they always have that edge in the end.
Quote from: From the Bunker on Today at 02:39:25 PMOf course in a better team her job would be simpler and her mistakes would be covered better, I just don't think she's very intelligent, which is a bigger problem in a weaker team. Sweden made all their goals her side, and our best chances came from the other.Quote from: Look-Up! on Today at 11:26:18 AMHuge fuss about McCabe as a footballer, and she is very talented and athletic, but doesn't seem to have much upstairs as a footballer.
Constantly goes chasing balls like a mad terrier, pulls her own team out of shape, leaves huge holes behind her.
If we had more quality, she'd have to do less. Because of her talent she is expected to cover a lot of ground and do a lot of things. She also sets the tone for the team. She plays for a top club in England. She had to fly from Australia this week.
The group is a nightmare group and I'd say we are still blooding players in preparation for the real stuff.

Mayo got a penalty that was never a penalty but a free out. They won by 2 points. It was the difference in the end in a game where there was never much in it until that decision. It is what it is. Life bees that way sometimes.
Maybe. But Roscommon's penalty was a penalty at all. There was barely contact.
