probably stupid question but is the Fingal panel going to include guys in the full Dublin setup?

do northsiders in the DCC area get to play for them?

Im opposed to this. Its franchise hurling and the start of a slippery slope. Fingal isnt a county no matter how much they say it is.
Hurling cant continue like its is for much long in my opinion. The sooner  Dublin, Antrim ,Derry can get up to speed the better for the entire game.
Anyway, long story short... is a phrase whose origins are complicated and rambling.

Like what? with only four contenders a year? It's done the same for years and years, with the odd bout of madness like th e90s, it would be great if we had eight counties with a real chance of winning liam but no sport has that many real contenders. Dont forget Waterford won their first national title in 40 years last month. Also had record numbers watching the final last year, more then the football for the first time ever!  :o

rosnarun

neither is london or new york .
fingal could be a county but if they become one they should leave dublin. otherwise its just half a dublin B team. I see much more room for divvying up cork than dublin much more natural divisions . though they are all *&*&^%
If you make yourself understood, you're always speaking well. Moliere

tayto

dont think you get a much more natural divide then dublin north and south but cork would be much more competitive alright.

Its a non-county playing in a county championship. Someone sat down and thought this up. Thats a franchise.

Fingall CC were advertising in the papers to create a team for the LoI 'A' league thats coming up. These moves have more to do with creating a Fingalish identity than strengthining hurling.

tayto

Hardly new that Fingal has a bit of their own identity, There used to be a fingal selection in the Dublin championship, the Dublin underage dev squads are split between north south and west, there's an under age split with dublin city and county etc etc ...

while half of 'fingal' moved out to Droh-heda , the rumours of it being 'part' of Fingal are actually untrue!

Dublinfella do you have a problem with the south Derry team also?

I was at a Munster final years ago and there was a Munster U-16 final on before the minor game. Both teams in the final were from Clare,  not entirely sure but it was like Mid Clare vrs East Clare, so it's not a new thing entirely but other than the Down juniors I haven't seen it before at senior level.

Don't really know how it would work for Dublin or Down especially if players could easily transfer from Christy Ring teams to their Nicky Rackard teams or in the case of Dublin their Liam McCarthy team.

wonder is there a problem with north kildare, south kildare
or westmeath/eastmeath
what about cork and west cork
or tipperary north riding and tipperary south riding
maybe its just a problem with riding in general or lack thereof -that is causing all of his sourness towards the GAA ?

He is just stirring up shite, he is a non gaa fan, in fact a big opponent of the GAA, and is only interested in Tallaght and Shamrock Rovers.
The whole "franchise" suggestion is just shit stirring so he can somehow claim the GAA are professional in a vain attempt to boost his argument on another thread.

Best to just ignore
Ask me holy bollix
