I was wondering the same. Usually sky have a channel without crowd noise for the football but not for the darts so made me think it was in the actual arena.

The guy has been a World Champion, he has the class

He hasn't made a huge impact in the PDC though so winning the world champs would be a surprise. He wouldn't have been many peoples pick to win it from the outset.

I was wondering the same. Usually sky have a channel without crowd noise for the football but not for the darts so made me think it was in the actual arena.

yeah it's in the arena as well, few players in earlier rounds were complaining it was putting them off on the doubles etc when they had oohs and aahs when they missed, so I think they toned it down a bit.

He's actually never come within a fart's whiff of a televised tournament since his switch from the BDO.

He's a good player but has a tendency to throw loose darts. If you can't average 100+, the PDC closing stages aren't for you.

Was wondering as it would be very subdued without it
At least in football there would a lot of shouting from other players coached etc
