The more I see of this competition the more I think it is the answer to the provincial championships as it is a natural seeding based on the league positions. One way to improve it would be to copy the Joe McDonagh Cup in hurling and have the finalists get a playoff provisional All Ireland quarter final against the lowest 2nd placed teams in AI group series. Or at least have it for the winners, it would be a huge incentive.

The night before probably!

Yeah massive that we back that up vs Galway but brilliant to be able to enjoy an Armagh win. For the first time in a long while I'm going to watch an Armagh game back!

Derry were that bad we would have won on penalties

  100%.

The drive and effort put in by Armagh yesterday compared to ourselves really was night and day, shockingly so.
I'm not sure how we come back from a defeat like that tbh, death by a thousand cuts atm.
Murray, Baker and Gilmore put in great shifts, I'll leave it at that re the rest.
The bandwagon will be a fair bit lighter heading to the Westmeath game that's for sure!

Westmeath is a real banana skin and Derrys performance today would see them beat and out. Couple of boys in Derry yesterday said McFaul was on the piss last week which is why he was dropped.

Murray a mile of fitness for a county player, he was puffing before half time. Thought only Baker really stood up today, with a number of players looking way of the pace. Would O'Rourke had got a more stronger panel in place?

What are the odds on O'Rourke being at the helm beginning next season? It would seem to be the ideal time.
