Boycey Im not the media  :D

I am just calling what i have seen from him this season, body language is terrible, loses the ball no intent to win it back or work hard. Caught offside countless times.

It might be harsh but its not like he is a kid any more, he is a full international player and I just think because of who he is and what he has done he gets a by ball for too much.

And there's no chance it's not just being him two months behind everyone else like? No, he's just not trying? It's lazy analysis perpetuated by the media most players go in and out of form all the time...

But he just looks like he's not trying and is jogging/walking most of the time. Hope he kicks back into gear soon.

Ah maybe I'm just naive... Very modern phenomenon, player plays bad he's not trying. There are no other possible reasons. I've seen nothing in his character thus far in his career to suggest that would be the case.

He has been poor for a good while though

Cunny Funt

Manchester Evening News has reported that Ronaldo among others is given the night off. A possibility of 11 changes to the starting team from Sunday. Probably starts for the likes of Mengi and Elanga. Matic to captain the side.

Six academy players might be on the bench tonight Bjorn Hardley, Charlie Savage (son of Robbie) Charlie Wellens, Zidane Iqbal, Shola Shoretire and Sam Mather

The main phenomenon is probably that he just isn't the baller some claim. The hype phase is well and truly over and he should be maturing into a leading man now, the new Oxlade-Chamberlain me thinks.

Is that's the case fair enough, I'm still actually undecided on him myself... But that's a whole other ball game than saying he's not trying.

I think Robbie Savage is on BT commentary tonight, be some buzz for him if his lad got on for a few minutes....

Seen McKenna has stayed on in the coaching dept
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

So it's Young Boys vs the Swiss champions tonight?

Mata and Matic will bring that age average up

Played well first half probably deserved to be leading at the break but let down by a individual error. Faded 2nd half, understandably with such a patched up starting team and only kids on the bench. The experiment of Matic at centre back didn't work, three big errors he made that could have led to goals. Bailly, Greenwood was Uniteds best performers.

Helix.

9 players that have come through academy at some point playing tonight. Must be a record. Agreed seem to fade in 2nd half. Elanga missing good chance though Young Boys had more chances to nick it.

Good to see so many academy graduates on the pitch last night. Some older heads didn't show up. I'd be willing to give Donny another chance in Rangnicks system as one of the 2 10s but he's not an 8/6. Hard to show up when he's in a weakened team. Mata and Matic should be let go. Lingard's attitude was awful I thought, off to Newcastle with him. Liked the look of Mengi when he was on, made a couple of good tackles. AWB was poor, picked up an injury at the end too.

Donny didnt play well cause the players around him weren't good enough but Jesse didn't cause of his attitude  :)

I thought Donny tried hard but some things didn't work out for him. Lingard did neither and I think he's had a few chances at this stage. When it came out that he thought a couple of good months in West Ham meant he should get an improved contract, considering he was already overpaid, I was done with him. He's leaving anyway so he shouldn't of got a game anyway IMHO.

I'm not convinced Donny is the answer either by the way but he's played so little it's hard to know.
