It's very hard to pick a team based on players form the past almost 20 years - It's very difficult to compare Greg Blayney with Brian Mc Guigan for instance - or Conor Gromley with Tony Scullion, Fay Devlin, Kieran Mc Keever, Danny Quinn etc. etc. etc.

Some cases it is easy and on others it is not. For example Conor Gromley is a very good player and any team would have him, but he should not be put in the same sentence with Tony Scullion....Scullion is an All Time great.

an open ended question. Think everyone will pick subjective teams, but in reality these teams may never have won the AI if playing together as an 'intercounty' team.

You have to play with what you are dealt, and for a start the above listed teams are too full of star performers and lacking imo a bit of balance etc
eg
as fantastic as the full forward lines are, imo you are better off playing a two man FF line (if you have the right kind of men to play in at FF - any two of canavan, linden, coulter, boyle, mcdonnell , p bradley etc etc would be ideal)

then how do you deploy the third full forward , cover for half back line, augmenting the midfield or picking up breaking ball.

you pick your team to suit the strengths of of your panel and your team style also accordingly.
different styles, tactics an templates are no good for certain teams (eg a long high ball into a FF line is of no use if you have tyrone sized oompa loompas on your team) ;)

lynchbhoy,i bet quite a number of those Tyrone 'oompa loompas' would make up your best 15 over the past 10-15 years!!!!!

Scullion is without doubt an all time great but IMO Gormley is the best defender Tyrone has produced in a very long time... now Danny Quinn and Tony Scullion... thats a different story
canavan is the man canavan is the man ee aye adi ooh.......

Derry would've been glad of Mark over the past few years!  Surely a team that persists with the 'GREAT' Eoin Bradley with could do with a forward of Mark's genuine class!!!!

Derry would def have been advantaged having Mark harte over the past few years aright, he could have brought the boys their cocktails and food on the beach while on the team holidays, and acted as a human parasol with them big dumbo-esque ears (mine are no better btw)

Surely the 'Mighty Eoin' could've done that for his county colleagues! I have still have to work out what purpose he serves on the Derry team!!!

Have to agree with you there lynchbhoy.......there's no way you could depend on young Bradley to carry the drinks down, as he would only drop them!!!!!!!!!!!!

def would agree there, he's been known to drop them 'down the hatch' with no encouragement, still at least he's a superb forward and we can indlge his wayward if not alcoholic tendency genius - a bit like Frank McGuigan sr, without the spare tyres!
