The government/GPA spooge/funding racket needs to be upheld, for that reason they'll never be branded Sen-Inter-Jun, it'll be 3 tiers of Senior, same as Hurling (all grades considered Senior), there's room for a 4th tier in football too, and it should be classed as Junior and not grant funded, Kilkennys of this world and teams in that lower eschalon

Quote from: yellowcard on Today at 11:49:37 AMMuch too simplistic to put it down to Portugal. That has nothing to do with them repeatedly leaving no defenders in one half of the pitch. It has been a tactical disaster, anything else is just trying to pin the blame on the players.

In his post match comments Mickey seems to be pinning it on the players.
He does that but suggest anything negative bout him here up to 6 weeks ago, or that him and Derry would end in tears, you get ate alive.

The amount of publicity got for mnd through him and his friend Kevin sinfield was superb - two people definitely to be admired. His fight was very public- that disease is becoming more common and seems to be hitting a lot more former sports stars. I read not that long ago Marcus Stewart formerly of Ipswich is suffering from it too and then there was weir, fernando Ricksen, van der wrsitheusen (spelling) and our own anto finnegan. Horrible.

I'd never heard of  him , but just seen a news report.  Poor fella.  His deterioration  from his rugby days was  unbelievable.

What a  b******d of a disease.

Even if you've no interest in rugby league or sport in general, I'd this almost impossible to believe for anyone who hasn't spent the last 4 and a half years living under a rock.

It will go down as the worst appointment in GAA history. Both from Derrys perspective and from Mickey Harte's perspective. How either side thought it was a good idea to begin with is baffling.

Whatever happened in Portugal stays in Portugal.
Until Mickey's next book.

Quote from: DownFanatic on Today at 11:40:10 AMI've said it for years but an All Ireland SFC, IFC and JFC is the only way to make this all work. It is the solution to structure and it is staring us all in the face.

Totally agree, just like the club.

Only problem is too many arrogant counties think they should be in 'A'.

A good dose of realism needed by a lot of supporters.

Whatever layout it takes, that's another question.
