Deegan did all he could to keep Tyrone in the game despite them being bang average, the corner back should have been sent off for that reckless high tackle on the Kerry goalkeeper but Deegan again helped Tyrone here.

A high tackle is a yellow card, not a red. Back to school!

All referees were advised to issue red cards for high reckless tackles this year,  back to school for you more like, there is no lengths Tymonies go to convince themselves they are still relevant.

How many red cards have been shown for high tackles this year?
Still relevant? Consistently making the semi finals of the All Ireland means there's not much convincing we need to do.

Great attitude to the game there. Hit someone from behind and possibly put them in hospital and impact their livelihood and  then try to justify it.
Fortunately in many  places the game is about skill and fitness and not about  lashing out with  what you see as justice. That's not standing up for your teammates. Doing that anywhere else would be gbh.
Too many in Derry are stuck in the dark ages which is one of the reasons why clubs are struggling to get young lads through to senior

I already said he should not have hit him from behind.

I am merely putting the incident into context here, it was the Bridge #12 who instigated this incident with a dirty sneaky from behind hit off the ball so I don't see how he, or indeed anyone on here, can complain that he got the same treatment himself. If you're going to give it out you need to be prepared to take it as well.

Did he hit Gerard O'kane from behind or did he push him?

Need to book something for my wife's 40th next January preferably a citybreak around that time. It's not usually a time of year we'd head away has anyone any ideas of what to do??

Was thinking New York maybe but I'm thinking January wouldn't be the best time. All recommendations welcome.

PS. Not winter sun would rather be doing something.

Stay away from NY in January, too cold to enjoy yourself or do much.

Away with work next week and will have a couple of days free in both Washington (DC) and Montreal. On paper DC seems easy enough to hit the sights along the National Mall but there are a lot of Smithsonian Museums of... and it can't all be done. Anything not to be missed in either place?
Make sure check out Arlington cemetery, and the tomb of the unknown soldier. Unbelievable experience.

Don't understand why this is being described as a terrorist attack. A 75 year old Muslim grandfather was murdered at the start of the month in Birmingham on his way home from prayers. He was not robbed, but stabbed in the back so viciously that the wounds penetrated his chest. This was rightly described as a racist attack. I fail to see the difference between these two attacks, just because the perpetrators were Muslim and shouting allahu akbar, instead of some far right wing rhetoric! The media, and subsequently the government description that this was a terrorist attack does nothing but scaremonger the average citizen and gives ammunition to these far right wing groups such as the EDL and the BNP!

Been following the story unwind on twitter myself, all seems a bit far fetched to me, no doubt it will cause rangers serious harm, there share price is already dropping rapidly. but i would be shocked if the SFL revoked there licence as sevco 5088 or whatever it is called isnt actually the company behind Rangers.

People loose their faith in a deity and/or a faith group for a multitude of reasons. The child abuse cover up just highlights the RC churchs moral corruption as an institution. One should not discount the power of the butterfly affect in bringing about change. We're doing our bit
When you say "we're doing our bit" does it give you satisfaction to see people loose their faith?
I am no lover of the Church, far from it, but luckily i don't need a church to keep my faith, however not everyone can feel the same. I could take no joy in seeing so many people loose their faith, no matter what religion it may be.
What difference does it make to you if people lose their faith?

it doesn't make a difference, I just find it unpleasant to see others ramming their views down other peoples throats. everyone has the ability and the right to make their own mind up!
Those missionaries must really sicken you.

I have no time for them
