I`ve never been on the OWC site, but I wonder do they have a thread offering condolonces to 4 dead policemen. I would seriously doubt it. A lot seems to have been made of the fact the two of the dead were members of the GAA. Yet at least one of those two hid the fact that he was a member of the police from his playing colleagues.

Its quite sad that Maskey would ever stoop so low. Have they no shame?

She was an ungreatful cow. I have no time for Kenny, but if I was in his shoes I would have given the prize to someone else.

You are wrong Armaghmaniac, i have imported a new Car from the south, and definitely paid import duty

There is no import duty when taking a car from South to North, you may have got a VAT bill from HM Customs on a new car, but not one for duty. I think armaghniac is correct with the £50 registration fee, its there or there abouts. Its a long time from I did it, but from memory he will need the log book, certificate of conformity, insurance details and then pay to tax the car.

We were working in Newtownards at the time, it was 1998. I remember seeing the signs and joking that the locals would think they were in Irish. It was around the same time that the same locals attacked Eddie Irvines home because he was driving under an Irish license and then had the Irish flag flown and anthem sung after a win. Lovely people  ::) and a lovely town  ::)

Wasnt a sign in Ulster Scots torn down or defaced by the natives somewhere in East Belfast because they thought it was Irish :-\

That was in Newtonards. The offending sign read "fair fay ye to the ards" and luckily I am a fluent in Ulster Scots and can translate it as Welcome to Ards, sadly the locals werent so well educated.

The Fed cuts rates to 1%. ECB likely to cut rates next week.

I wonder will we see rates at 0% as happened in Japan. I will be looking for some big interest only loans in that event.

But will you get those loans?

I would agree with most of what thewobbler has to say, but I dont see why we have to have play-offs to decide who gets relegated and who wins the league. If you want to make every game meaningful then do away with the play-offs. The most consistent team wins the league then, not the team that finishes fourth. Just my 2 cents worth.

Sorry for hijacking this thread, but don`t really need a new thread for this. I have recently bought a new Nokia E51. On the screen there is an icon for WLAN Search. Can I connect to the internet using this function for free? ie can I use the phone on my wireless connetion at home or will vodafone still be billing me for any time I use surfing on my phone?
