Who's chairing the next FRC?

1st run out of the year on a winter pitch..you'd be best picking another sport rather than whinge for 9 months a year

Tyrone need to let loose a bit more, like watching a less polished Donegal team

Not sure any of that accounts for both sides playing low risk, high percentage football in a pre season competition were they might be expected to try a few things out, but feel free to continue to have a pop.
No matter what Cahir O'Kane & the cheerleaders try to tell you, 80% of games are like this

armaghniac

Armagh with some bad errors at the end and it was only 60 minutes. But room for improvement and no risk of over confidence.

Feck lads youse are awful dour, first game of the year and I thought it was a decent run out and an entertaining evening's football. Tyrone for Sam.

Armagh18

Good run out- we were miles off it on kickouts and in the full back line.

Main thing is hope young McMullan isn't too bad.

From an Armagh point of view:

Positives:
Aaron McKay making a return to county team after a long lay off
Andy Murnin committing for another year
Some fine score taking from Oisin o'Neill
Decent first half from Danny Magee in unfamiliar role

Negatives:
Own kickouts
Concession of two goals
Lack of depth/experience heading into the league, particularly in full back line
Losing a game that seemed in control of

RedhandEastie

Armagh playing their full hand to hammer a bunch of Tyrone trialists and squad players but still getting beat is very funny.

You clearly didn't follow the McKenna cup under the Mickey Harte regime.

Crab football and the game's elite forwards consistently defending among 29 other players inside the 45 is in the rear view mirror thank god

bennydorano

I used to think your CHB was the fulcrum of your team, with the new rules it is bypassed so much(over run moreso at times), even for kickouts the CHB slot always looks exposed. Kickouts are going to be so important this year for all teams, the impact of kickouts really is wild - maybe disproportionately so.

100%. Sack Geezer. Give Malachy O'Rourke the freedom of Omagh and just hand them Sam Maguire now.

jb77

Tyrone brought on a bit of experience to shore up the forward line and that was the difference. Tyrone were good under the kickout though, maybe Kennedy is replaceable after all like some Tyrone ones would have you believe

Ah yes a competition that gives youngsters like Mattie Donnelly,Darren McCurry a chance.

Armagh should gain revenge in the upcoming division one campaign against Tyrone,  oh wait...
