We're filming for Series 2 of BBC 2's Blas Ceoil programme at O'Hanlon's Bar in Mullaghbawn on Thursday 9th October.

Doors open to the public at 7pm.

Also playing are The Tennessee Hennessees, Paula Flynn and Ruairi Cunnan.

Good luck with his one; it's tuneful, catchy and the backing is good. Doesn't quite jump out at you; if you know what I mean but I think its quite good.
Some of th younger folk here listened to it also and the resposne overall has been fairly positive.

Plus, we've been confirmed for the next Series of Blas Ceoil to be shown on BBC2 before the end of the year.

Filming is on 9th October at O'Hanlons in Mullaghbawn if anyone is in the area!

Anyone know the venue?  Any use?

Its been a brave few years since I was in it, but I assume it has been renovated or extended as you couldnt have swung a cat in it.
One thing for sure, you will have a decent session in it afterwards

Well, there'll be 7 of us stuck in a wee corner then I reckon.  I may bring a pair of glasses or I could get a fiddle bow or a guitar head in the eye......

We may leave the drum-kit at home!

you will probably be in the shed out the back, can't remember what you call it though, as the bar is not that big as FB said!!

i would say you will be out the back then!! its not a shed as i put it, but it is not far off it!! that's a pity about the date though, i will be on honeymoon then, and i am originally from Mullaghbawn and would have gone down that weekend to have a look!!

G's man you'll have some craic in O'Hanlon's, many a fine nite was had in their and not on drop of underage stuff was poured into a glass :P  The legend that is Michael Quinn also graced the stage there many's the night so you have big boots to fill :D
