Funny story I was three putting an awful lot last Year. I took a complete gamble after reading reviews of TEMUs version of the LAB OZ1i I love it and can't miss! I know putting is in your head but I've played six rounds and three putted once. I was playing with a five handicapper who remarked that I was a super putter but that it was an expensive putter and it must have set me back a bit. They are 800.00 euro here. He nearly fell down when I told him I paid 80.00 on TEMU

The LAB was originally made here by a member at my course before he sold it to LAB. The original Directed Force putter. Hideous but put a nice roll on the ball

I have to admit that I've watched maybe 30 members over about 100 rounds of golf play with these putters and I have yet to see a putting performance that made me want to put one in my bag. I love putters, like to collect them - and I guess there is something to this technology but I have not witnessed it in the flesh. That includes our head pro that's qualified for 13 senior major tournaments, and 2 club champions.

That said I saw a 50 yard hole out with one in Bandon dunes.

And they are super expensive at the moment!

I think Rory would be happy enough to miss this cut with this back injury and the masters on the horizon.

Will be going to the Wednesday practice round this year, bucketlist trip I am very excited. A few rounds of golf either side of that in Atlanta.

Now we all hate you, lol. Just out of interest, what is your handicap index?

Currently 11.1. Our posting system closes from November through March due to the expectation that courses will close due to snow. Index hovers between 9-11 most seasons, but have not really been playing as much as I should have over the last 2 years but still play the odd monthly competition and most of our "majors" at the club. Finished 9th in our points total last year by eeking out a few wins. Definitely don't have the love for it I had a decade ago.

I finished last year at 14.6 but need to get back up to 18 so as to be competitive again, lol

Lotta bandits out there. I sat on our mens board for 8 years and spent 6 of those as the handicap chair. I was popular for sure.

American clubs tend to play for a fair bit of cash games amongst 4somes and larger groups and it's hard to have a guy who you won't play with because you just know he's carrying a number of strokes. Thankfully our club is private so there's a fair bit of peer pressure to be on the level, but we have one big event (Member Guest), where each member brings a guest for a 3 day tournament of hosted bar, hosted food and big money prizes. Some of the guests have shown up with exceptionally inflated handicaps and we've had to make some mid tournament adjustments. Also, our course is a c**t so it levels many handicaps automagically.

I mean you'd pull up a chair to that table fair enough - even pass yourself with the foie gras (which is nasty).

All euro wines as well, lad knows what he's at.

When do they introduce Elk to the Mourne mountains?

Milltown Row2

f**k.. The wrong time of the day to see a menu! Starving!
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

First course fish only, no option ? Controversial to say the least
