Hovland wins it for them. Strange one that.

They should have said 5 players injured. Saved me a few hours in front of the telly

Second time you've played up 17. He two putted and Henley missed a tough one. Was hardly a superhuman performance. 18 wag plenty brilliant enough.

He was at least 55 feet away, up the slope whereas Henley had 10 footer to win it and thankfully hit it soft.

Not interested in the Nicklaus Jacklin prize!

Even throwing food on green after he sunk putt. The behaviour scandalous.

Rightly so tbh! Would be somewhat unedifying if they were to be seen lording it about the place left, right and centre having just about avoided one of the biggest and most public collapses in sporting history.

In hindsight, some of the celebrations last night might come in for a bit of criticism.

Again, would MacIntyre not concede that one.

Didn't in the finish up!!!

OakLeaf

Great victory. Very difficult to win Ryder cups away, and especially in New York given the number of classless morons in the crowd.

And lose his match?

I remember McGinley halfing a match even though he was nailed on to win because a streaker ran across the green but it's easier to do that when it's like 18-9 or something

ONeill

That was some win over the 3 days.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Yes, as his match by that stage was meaningless. The extra half point changed nothing. Hatton absolutely should have conceded the Morikawa one.

We are relentlessly browbeaten about the history, the tradition, the spirit, the ethos blah blah blah of the Ryder Cup. The spirit of Seve w**k w**k w**k. Plenty of putts like that have been conceded in the past. Payne Stewart comes to mind. It's nonsense though, and everyone knows it.

screenexile

The way Morikawa has putted all week I wouldn't have conceded anything to him. Likewise Burns missed that putt which was for his own pride so MacIntyre was right not to concede it. I'm sure Bob had plenty the same distance around the course that he wasn't given.

A lot of that Ryder Cup schtick is nonsense but the way a few of them spoke after the win today there's no doubting what it means to the European lads.

Fogarty

Lowry's GAA background means he gets the true meaning of a team sport, which the yanks will struggle to match!

Grace Murphy

Has to be one of the worst wins in Ryder cup history.
