QuoteDry your eyes, MS... if the boot was on the other foot and all that...

Its true I like a wind up but I dont put the boot into sides when they have just been beaten. To me it is the most despicable part of the modern GAA. Did anyone see that shot of Mcmenamin still mouthing at one of the Dublin players with 2 minutes to go in a game where they were up by 13 points ?  I suppose its no surprise when their fans indulge in it.

I mean, honestly, why do that...? is it to get some psychological advantage for the next time they meet ? ...or is it just plain badness ? I would genuinely like to know.

not to mention what McGuigan was at...from reservoirdubs.com

QuoteThe only gripe I have was Brian McGuigan getting in Mossy's face before taking a free when the match was won.  I'd always had sympathy for him before, but that's gone now.  I know Dublin players haven't been angels on that front, he should be ashamed.  And so should any of you journos reading this who'd make an issue of it if it'd been a Dublin player.

pure badness. No other explanation as the match was won.

Now, there's an irreconcilable statement and poster.

Thats it, keep putting the boot in. Very classy. :-\
Surely you're allowed to be as classy as you want when responding to the original posts on this thread? If you set yourself up, you have to be prepared for the fall.

The Dubliner supporters I encountered yesterday after the game, where nothing but the best. Very gracious in their defeat and wishing us well in the rest of the Championship. They don't deserve guff. Tankie however deserves everything thrown at him ;)

Well thats it, just to bad to believe but that is life and sport, still to sick to even think about it but atleast we were beaten by a great team I had foolishly wrote off. Not much really to say other than congrats to Tyrone, it was an honest game and honest hardwork won the day yesterday which is a good thing in sport even if it is another heartbreak for Dublin fans. I dont think any Dublin fan would do anything else but wish Tyrone and their fans all the best for the rest of the championship.
Grand Slam Saturday!

TANKIE, fair play for coming back on this thread and saying your piece. To err is human and all that. Id called you an arsehole on the main match thread after reading this one, but Ive since edited it, so apologies. Your post is an honest one, however you in your own words "foolishly wrote off' not just one, but two teams. Hopefully no one in tyrone will be writing off wexford.

Fair play to you Tankie for coming back with kind words. Shows the true measure of your character. No more digs from me.

Just had this one texted to me;

"Gardai are issuing warnings of flash flooding in Dublin this evening. They have pleaded with the Dublin supporters to stop crying"
Anyone travelling to Leeds to work/study are welcome to join St. Benedicts Harps GAA in Leeds.

That's right, even you are forgiven for that howler of a pre-match analysis (Dublin vs Tyrone) during the week  ;)

FoSB - there are two breed of man on this planet. One is the fella who'll stick his neck out and give an opinion knowing that if you're wrong you can take it on the chin. The other stays quiet and plays it safe.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

That's right Shane, and I'm of the former, not the latter.
