Editing a flash (.fla) file

I need some changes made to a flash .fla file created in Macromedia Flash 8. Basically, I just want to change some colours in it but everytime I try I seem to fcuk it up. Can anyone help? Cheers.

Make sure u have the correct layer selected for a start. What have u been doing???

I've only got MX 2004 installed here at the mo. Give me a few mins to see if some of our other machines have version 8.
