Watched a couple of films over the weekend.

Grown Ups - If you like Adam Sandler, you'll enjoy this film. After a run of poor films like Click, Adam is back to his best again. Some good laughs in it.

Knight & Day - Decent enough film, but wasn't brilliant. Didn't hold my attention in bits, found myself checking emails and Twitter on my phone. That said, Daiz sure can control a car!

Green Zone was the only action movie I ever fell asleep while watching. I liked the American.

The Human Centipede is on the SyFy channel (after Sharktopus, how many oscars did that win?) if your sick in the head.
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

I thought the Green Zone was ok but I agree that the American was very good.

The Lincoln Lawyer is very good too.  Someone mentioned Knight and Day, and I was thinking about that yesterday as it was being advertised on Sky and it was that bad a film I actually had to sit down and think if I had actually watched it.  I eventually remembered that I had watched the first 30 minutes then turned it off, and I would say its one of the 3 or 4 times in my life when I have just gave up on a film.

Battle Los Angeles was a 2.5 out of 5.

Saw The Searchers again on Friday night. This film just leaves me cold, can't really see how it gets all the plaudits and I am a big fan of John Ford. Have watched it umpteen times and am still not too impressed.

Went with the kids to watch Harry Potter at the weekend - very enjoyable

Yup, watched it yesterday. Much more enjoyable than part 1 of the deathly hallows.

Tried to watch fear and loathing in las vegas last night. Couldn't get into it at all, even in the right frame of mind.

I'd rather meet Hardy for a pint than watch that.
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

Hardy

I'd rather you watched the film, thanks.

Watched Harry potter 3d last night. I thought it was just ok tbh. That was my first 3d cinema experience and I must say I wasn't overly impressed by that aspect of the film

Honestly, it is so highly lauded that when it is on tv I usually give it another try. A watchable flick imo but not the legendary film many think it is. Won't watch it again. Nothing else was on last Friday night anyhows.

Watched The Departed last night for the third time last night and it is a film growing on me. Didn't think much of it after first viewing. Very hard though to warm to a film with Damon in it.
