Milltown Row2

Very rarely get to the cinema but the four of us went to watch Marty Supreme last night..

Set in the 50's about a table tennis player! Bonkers story loosely based a real person..

I like it along with my daughter but the other two are hard to please anyways so it was grand lol
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

It's good that it's getting people back into the cinema. The young fella went with his mates last week and said the cinema was packed. I don't think I've been in a packed cinema since the mid-90s!

Marty Supreme one of few films to match the hype, its chaotic and entertaining all the way. Instant classic.

Chalamet has to get the Oscar. Refreshing to hear his self confidence in this age of fake humility.

Inspirational at times, esp for anyone in business or trying to fulfil their vision.

Milltown Row2

But anyone that suffers with anxiety it's probably not the best film to watch

Uncut Gems worse on that front. Same director. Good Time also worth watching.

Quote from: Puckoon on January 14, 2026, 05:37:15 PMTook a punt on Eastern Promises last night with Viggo and Naomi Watts, thoroughly enjoyable. Wish the ending had played out more, but at that time there was a plan for a second installment which is not happening I guess.

Great film. Harrowing at times.

after reading the above I decided to watch it this weekend, good movie.

Mystic River, bloody belter

Hamnet. It might be seen as more of a film for the women to watch, but by god it's powerful at times. A serious performance from Jessie Buckley and she is rightly getting the acclaim.

DaleCooper

Pretty incredible to have two Irish leads in a major film like this.

Will be seeing 28 Days Later : Bone Temple shortly and looking forward to it. Even the jaded YT ragebait reviewers are praising.

Probably late to the party, but Sinners is a great watch.

Shades of From Dusk Till Dawn from the 90s, but much better film.

Rocky Road to Dublin scene is awesome!

Puckoon

No Way Out. Kevin Costner, Gene Hackman, Will Patton. 1987.

Garbage from start to finish. Terrible haircuts, terrible directing, terrible acting, massive sting in the tail at the end that had it been managed better could have been exceptional.

Watch Friday Night Dinner instead. Ooof.

gallsman

The twist in No Way Out is completely pointless though   ;D

The movie is over and then they basically throw it in as the credits roll.

Watched the I'm Chevy Chase and you're not documentary film.

Not one of my favourite comedic actors but it was worth the watch.

On a side note it is quite depressing knowing the actors that made you laugh growing up are not going to be around much longer.

Watched this over the weekend, the wife says, who recommended this to you, it's just porn! I'm banned from all movie recommendations for a while. To be fair there's an awful lot of riding in it.
2007  2008 & 2009 Fantasy Golf Winner
(A legitimately held title unlike Dinny's)

Bone Temple :usual brit hype. Just ok
Sinners: tries to do too much, 3rd act a mess. Good overall
Bugonia:must see insanity.JP best film

Nice to see Delroy Lindo get some recognition at Oscars, if you havent seen Clockers[1995] its worth watching.

Got round to Naked Gun,  better than I expected.
