ONeill

Hard to believe they are where they are with no one really having a golden period. The likes of Trossard and Martinelli have stood up at times but no real goal threat up there. Jesus had an initial effect but tailed already. Gyokeres is more miss than hit. Madeueke doesn't really know what his feet are doing. Yet, still top.

Not 100% on what the tactics are in the last third. It's formulaic ok and you can't be overly critical of it as they've won more than anyone else. But it's definitely not memorable.

Havertz and Merino are unfortunate injuries as they actually have a brain.

Hard to beat I suppose.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Odegaard, Saka, Havertz,Merino and Madueke have all had injury periods and Gyokeres. Think Gyokeres beginning to click. Eze being way off it.

ONeill

It looked like Gyokeres was starting to bloom alongside Havertz. Pity that's been scudded a bit.

Hopefully most mended bar Merino by late March.

Tactics in final third work a corner and hope for best?

Gyokeres very limited to date.

Havertz should play as the 9 in big games.

Quote from: Mourne Red on January 25, 2026, 06:40:14 PMHaven't gotten ahead of myself because I've a notion that City would show something and after that performance I think leagues over and City will put the burners on now and win the title.

16 gutless performances there today whether it's the players or Arteta something has to change in the summer

I knew not to get ahead of myself.. League is city's imo

Puckoon

Does anyone know if there's something wrong with the labrador?

BRUTAL.

moonster

Arsenal will still walk the league, Man City are average.

moonster

The quickiest Arsenal moved in second half was walking off the pitch. Jesus and Gabriel lost their shit after final whistle.

It's an average league. City might not be city of a few years ago but they know how to win. I think Arsenal are a bit brittle, a lack of leadership.

ONeill

Big test of this Arteta squad's cajones in the NL derby.

The only thing spurs have in their corner is the new manager bounce...'should' be a handy 3 points

ONeill

Aye but Arsenal's league position belies their ability to dominate games.

There are big issues with the mental approach of Arteta teams when the going gets tough, going back years now.

If they turn Spurs and Chelsea over then you can counter this. But at the minute, there has been no indication this year that they can totally dominate a side domestically.

Although that might be labelled at every side in that league.

How bad are Spurs? St Totteringham's Day could be the earliest ever next weekend.
