I always remember in 2010 Dublin played Louth and Louth went into the game as marginal favourites. Dublin played the off the park in the first half (Louth may have scored nothing from play?). That was the early days of the Dublin train chugging into action.

16 years later Dublin are reliant on a small number of players who were involved in the 8 years of success after, and some who were around in 2023. On the other hand Louth look slick and confident.

This will come down to Louth's mental strength. Like I said, I would back Dublin to beat Kildare simply on the basis of mentality. But Louth are a different proposition.

I expect a big reaction from Dublin - they could win this game pulling up.

Would be shocked if Louth pull this off.

But would be great to see it and Devlin is definitely getting the most out of them, but beating Dublin in championship might be a step too far for them.

Dublin won outside of Croker last week. And in Derry and Galway in last year's championship.

Dublin have shown a bit of a flicker there. Scully, Kilkenny, Byrne all played well. As did Nathan Doran.

Louth have certainly tried to play on the front foot but they have been forced into errors and poor shooting decisions.

Two point gap though, so nothing actually between the teams.

Ref is excellent in this game. A lot of lads moaning at him and getting nothing for it. Just before the late hit on Costello (who's having a bit of a 'mare) Mulroy knew he was boxed in and basically decided to just fall to the ground. Cards he's giving out are all clearly cards too.

Commentators curse, missed a really obvious 2 pointer.
