When is the best time of the day to check for cancellations for that day if soon after ?

Used to be they released the cancellations around 9:15 - 9:30 am IIRC - but not sure its like that any more. They seem to pop up at any time now - possibly become automated rather than waiting for DVLNI to manually release them.

Last few times I was looking, there were a fair few popped up over a few days, so don't "panic buy" the first option if its not really suitable, chances are better will come.

My recent experience is that if your road tax is dependent on it and you ring up you can get an appointment within a day or two.

Constantly refreshing the page has worked for me before ,  the earliest available dates for all of the testcentres were continually changing

9am onwards and keep refreshing, maybe not first preference test centre as mentioned but should be one close enough.

100% works if you have the time
i kept refreshing one day after it gave me a date 4 months away, 1 came up in cookstown for an hours time and i was straight up the road

Yeah just book one for any date and time and then go in and refresh the page and should get a more suitable one.

log in on a friday morning and you'll see whatever slots have been opened up on Saturday or Sunday.

Used to be a site you could pay that would do all the refreshing etc for you but it appears to be finished.
