What were Cork thinking, just need a point then contest the kickout. Messed about 2 and a half minutes trying to get a 2pter  That 3 man tackle was a foul. Seriously need look at the end of the matches. Every one a fouling match last minute.

If the referee was keeping time he could allow more time on for cynical play. Seriously the championship will be a shitshow if this is allowed to continue.

Thought Meath got handier decisions from the ref. He was quick to stick the arm up for advantages that Cork weren't getting.

Cork keeper didn't cover himself in glory for the Meath goal, ducked under it and Cork should've taken a point and go again with their last attack.

The hooter rule needs looked at again. Teams can foul the bit out in the last 60 seconds to end the game. Meath lad going off laughing on a black card because he's killed about 10secs, and which was immediately followed by another foul from another Meath lad.

Still that's for another day. We weathered the storm today when it looked like we were getting overran. The bench made an impact. Conlon especially. Thought we would struggle without McBride but started winning midfield after he went off.

Jack O'Connor came alive in the second half when we needed someone other than Morris to create something.

Dublin win Leinster, Cork should had 4 goals, The Meath defence was too loose on the other teams counter attack!

Good win. Silverware (of importance ) will do the young team a lot of good. Meath did what they had to do at end of game. not many people complained about Louth doing exactly same last year. So they shouldn't get grief when they do it. Loved Conlon's smile at end. He's been through a lot. And might just have taken the no 15 back after that performance for the Leinster.

Well done Meath. Just a great side for neutrals, Cork put it up to them but they have too much threat. Hopefully have a good run for Sam this year.

Won't be tipping us for Leinster yet. Our defense was very porous at times today. Sherlock was scoring at will at times too.

Lavin struggled in the corner. Brennan had an off day with kickouts and frees. Rafferty had a tough day too.

Louth and Dublin will fancy their chances at the title too.

Meath Kerry Mayp and Roscommon are the only teams worth watching. Great to watch while the rest are really not worth looking at. Such is the awful state of our game.

Say we would be 3rd in a tight race for Leinster. Would have dubs and Louth very slightly ahead. But honestly nothing between the 3 team. Meath front 6 players plus Conlon and Costello to come in will give any team nightmares.
However midfield still needs work. And defensively we are not there yet by any imagination. Lavin had his worst game in a Meath shirt , Rafferty I am not too worried about as even an all star can have a so so game, keoghan works his socks off, but you do wonder in championship football will a yard of pace catch him out, coffee didn't have a great game either but wasn't too bad
Caulfield just about did enough but last year he was the link man . Brennan was off today, be it with saves , closing down players , kick outs and shots on goal. I'd say billy is a happy man tonight with a medal in his pocket and looking likely to be the no 1 in first round of Leinster.
So plenty done right. Lot of work to do in other areas
