It isnt far wrong. Uk and us siezed ship registrated in Russia

A stateless ship given temporary registration on Christmas eve by Russia (wonder why) after being linked with several operations where it broke Iranian oil sanctions.
It was breaking the law.

Like America was breaking the law with the recent invasion?

I just left the Venezuela briefing. It's worse than you thought. Oil company executives seem to know more about Trump's secret plan to "run" Venezuela than the American people. We need public Senate hearings NOW

This is an insane plan. They are talking about stealing the Venezuelan oil at gun point for an undefined period of time as leverage to micromanage the country. The scope and insanity of that plan is absolutely stunning...This is going to be a very rough ride for the U.S."

.
So the US taxpayer will spend billions of dollars to make the Venezuelan regime even more repressive so that it can protect American oil companies who won't actually do anything except themselves receive billions more dollars of taxpayer subsidies. MAGA

Sure that's grand, no? Laws don't seem to matter much these days

Not with many here, no.

Yes because gaaboard contibutors are the ones who we should be talking about when it comes to global stability and international law, rather than the US president.

That's about the height of it.

No democratic or human rights reforms for the people of Venezeula. The same regime stays in place, only now they're paying protection money to Trump and his cronies in the form of their oil wealth.

Amos Hochstein, managing partner at investment group TWG Global and a former adviser to former president Joe Biden, said investing in Venezuela was fraught with legal, financial and political risk. American oil companies needed to know whether they would be shielded beyond Trump's term in office, he said.  "US companies need to know who their counterparties are. Are they signing deals with the Venezuelan government? Is the Venezuelan government legitimate?" Hochstein added: "For the next three years these companies will have to put money in and no revenue will come out until much later. And at that point Donald Trump will no longer be the president."   Neil McMahon, co-founder of energy investment group Kimmeridge, said US companies would need formal financial guarantees from the administration before committing money. One leading private equity investor said his firm was "ready to get down and start looking at stuff" but cautioned Venezuela was "as risky as it gets". "This government's basically going to have to guarantee it," he added. "Short of something like that, no investor, no public company that has shareholders can put their capital to work in a country that doesn't have real laws and takes profits and confiscates assets
