Reality is Ulster has only won 2 All Ireland senior club titles. Same as county, we're just not at that level. Ulster is probably Slaughtneil's ceiling. Loughrea whole other level.. unfortunately.

That's two more than won at Senior Intercounty level and a heck of a lot more AI final appearances also than at Intercounty level.

It's been a good while since an Ulster Team looked out of their depth at senior club and even though Sleacht Néill were beaten by a good margin in the end they didn't let anyone in Derry or Ulster down by their performance.

Hurling can be cruel on a team when it comes to the scoreboard whereas in football a crap team can park the bus, get beat by 4 or 5 points, but never actually look like ever winning the game.

More so under the old rules than the over the top offensive heavy new rules that was put in place this year.

Deserved half time lead for the Sligo men. Easkey 0-11 Kilbrittain 0-10. Debatable call by the ref to not allow the Easkey goal and bring it back for a free.

0-12 each on 40 mins but a big moment with Easkey down to 14 men with their top scorer Kilcullen sent off.

If a red card for a low level of what looked accidental contact then players will be dipping their heads when being tackled to draw the red.

The yellow just given much more deliberate and dangerous action.

50 mins played  Easkey 0-15 Kilbrittain 0-14

After 60 minutes  Easkey 0-18 Kilbrittain 0-18

Three minutes added.

Result  Easkey 0-18 Kilbrittain 0-19. Fine effort by the Sligo men against the odds and finished the game with 13 players.

Easkey unlucky with the red, the lad overplayed the injury for me which would have made me give a yellow lol!

Ref can give 5 seconds advantage so should have composed himself and allowed the play, that said he did probably take too many steps

Aye 2 yellows, one for the tackle
One for the lad rolling round on the floor holding his face.

They are digging in rightly though with a man down.

Milltown Row2

Yeah I hope they come through.. very evenly matched

I thought the 5 second rule was done away with and it was referees discretion ?

Was no consistency with the ref, a similar challenge by Kilbrittain player moments later and he gave a yellow instead of red.

Was it similar? Was that the one he'd won the ball and came through a tackle heading the other away?

If not I missed it. Both yellow in my book if it's the one I'm thinking off

It was similar and yellow for both challenges for me also.
