I'm actually totally confused about how the Tyrone system works here now I thought it was simple 2 up 2 down.

Can someone explain how promotion and relegation works in simple terms.

I assume league winners and championship winners both go up.

What happens if a team wins a league and championship double do just 1 team go up?

How does relegation work? If you win championship and finish bottom of league are you relegated?

How does relegation work through the championship if there's no relegation playoff?

Yes. Win a Championship, go up a level, lose a relegation playoff you drop down for the next year
Like 29 other Counties.
Indeed. Yet everyone are the weird ones and not the outlier counties
No, it was indeed Look-Up! who was suggesting it was wrong for Tyrone to use "the year before" to grade teams. Despite every other county (including Cavan) doing the same.
;D  ;D  ;D  ;D Strange as this may seem to you Tyrone folk but I couldn't give a bollix what or how ye grade your competitions. Year before, this year, put random years into a hat and draw crazy years, get a crystal ball and grade it on next year! Knock yerselves out. I DO NOT CARE.

But stop coming on here polluting this thread with shit every year about the Cavan system. Otherwise expect the same contempt back. Your system is really really not all that you think it is and not above getting the piss ripped out of.

Motion: new novice grade All Ireland club so the Cavan D1 crop can circle the wagons, maybe Breffni can host the final

Good idea, maybe have it in Omagh and do some bog snorkelling.

nrico2006

I stopped taking Cavan GAA men seriously when they started launching appeals against teams playing underage players.

That was a contentious one alright I'll give you that.

You're digging deep into the archives there Nrico 😂

Well done Clogher. The bookies had Emyvale as hot favourites for that one.

All piss-taking aside, any predictions for the Intermediate final?

You'd imagine playing Division 1 football has its (unfair) advantages at this level, and it has proved up to this point with a few notable hammerings handed out by Glenullin.

CĂșchulainn's have come out of the hard side of the draw after some really tight encounters which despite Glenullin's experience at this level will edge it in their favour.

Look-Up!

Hard to say without knowing too much on Glenullin. They've won 3 of the last 4 intermediates in Derry so can't be bad although hardly pulled up trees outside Derry. Ballyhaise best them so encouraging from a Cuchulainn's viewpoint. Ballinderry obviously very strong last year but struggled badly in the senior this year so I'd imagine the grades in both counties are comparable.

I don't know what stage Glenullin are at, whether a seasoned old team or coming young team but Cucus have a very nice blend and I would say there is a lot of improvement in them if they can keep together. Great result last day out too against a very strong team but left lots after them so lucky to get away with it in a way. I think it will be very close, not much more than a kick of a ball in it and should be a great game. Cavan side have the ability but I'd be very worried of the occasion and Derry men's experience.

SouthOfThe Bann

Cuchullains slight favourites with the bookies. Which could be liable to flip the other way before the game.

I see Sallins of Kildare Favorites for the All Ireland.

Followed by An Gaelatcht of Kerry

Cuchullains and Strokestown next favourites.
