1. Kilcoo
2. Scotstown
3. Naomh Conaill
4. Newbridge
5. Loughmacrory
6. Kingscourt
7. Madden
8. Dunloy
9. Erne Gaels
Probably not far away. Newbridge and Loughmacrory possibly in a similar boat in that they're talented enough to beat anyone but they're very youthful sides that lack the experience of the top few.

They might not win but I think Dunloy could cause a surprise or two. Their pace is terrifying.

Newbridge not short on pace themselves. I think it'll be a tight game. Agree Dunloy maybe being wrote off a bit too easily.

Are Scotstown the biggest underachievers in Ulster Club football in the modern era? They've dominated Monaghan for the last decade and only have 3 losing final appearances to show for it. Naomh Conaill to a lesser extent, dominated Donegal but only 2 losing final appearances to show.

Quote from: gallsman on October 27, 2025, 06:23:52 PMScotstown took a fair scalping off and were miles behind Kilcoo last year after stunning then the year before. Experience and pedigree counts for little if you're in a different class altogether.
Good point. Scotstown went man to man that day too when they had no real need to. Now under these new rules you're pretty much forced to go man to man unless you allow someone to run through unopposed if you deploy a sweeper

Madden and Loughmacrory enjoying themselves anyway. Great to see.

DaleCooper

If Donaghy was fit, the Lough would probably give Kilcoo a right rattle. Without him hard to see it. They play fast attacking game in big spaces of Healy Park.

I'd imagine Meenagh will be having a few conversations with old comrade McGinley in the next week, especially Kilcoos goal threat.

Advantage of bonus territory now, will be encouraged to throw off shackles. Nothing to lose.

Truthsayer

Loughmacrory do concede a lot of goals. Remarkably in Tyrone championship conceded 11 and scored 3.
Goals scored kept Trillick and Carrickmore in the games when they should have been well beaten. Says a lot for Loughmacrory's resilience and obviously point scoring ability but need to stop conceding so many goals to go forward.

DaleCooper

Indeed Though I believe they dont score as many goals due to focus on two pointer efforts.

Those are great but goals are powerful at demoralising the opposition. Lough should have gone 1-7 to 3 up around 15 mins when mcelhom rattled crossbar.

McCullagh has a rocket foot as well so would like to see them go for goals more.

Milltown Row2

Very impressed with Newbridges direct approach, only for some last ditch defending they'd be leading at halftime with some to spare going into a second half with a strong breeze..

Dunloy pulled out two two pointers late on to lead by two..

They'd be happy with that considering how they've played, well below their standards, and a lot of that due to Newbridge
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

Newbridge have been poor at taking their chances compared to their Derry Championship performances. Dunloy seem more up for this.

DaleCooper

"RTÉ to show Ulster club meeting of Tyrone champions Loughmacrory and Down winners Kilcoo next Saturday"

Dunloy made fairly poor of having the wind in the first half. Slick pitch but anyone who has seen a windy Owenbeg before knew what was coming in the 2nd

OakLeaf

Newbridge didn't panic and ran out comfortable winners in the end. They are a very young team and the inconsistency in their performances is part and parcel of youthful teams. I don't think they'll beat Scotstown or Kilcoo this year but give them a couple more years and they'll be up there with the best.
