Definitely a very open Ulster Championship this year. Kilcoo are probably favourites but there are a few teams knocking on the door. Should be a good one.

I hadn't realised Newbridge had already played and defeated Dunloy. Fair play to them.

Madden have the resources to give Ulster a rattle but it's always a big ask for a team in uncharted/bonus territory. Same for Loughmacrory. Kilcoo dispatched of a serious Carryduff outfit, they and Scotstown stand out for me

Kingscourt play Erne Gaels. Neither team has much experience in Ulster. Erne Gaels were hammered last year by Scotstown. Kingscourt have probaly the best inside forward in the competition in Jordan Morris.

If you're tipping them to possibly win Ulster, they're hardly gonna lose to Dunloy

They would need to a: not go on a bender for 2 weeks and b: be braver, the amount of times Grimley was telling them all to slow down and the amount of running attacks only to stop abruptly and kick back to the 45, their saving grace yesterday was Cullyhanna were brutal.

Their attacks seemed very organised to me when there was a slow build up. They loaded up their bigger men inside and kept their good ball carriers the like of Smyth, McMullan and shooters like Conor Grimley outside the arc then came at pace.  Given the conditions it probably wasn't a day to be kicking the ball off the boot quickly to the inside men.

Now or never Scotstown, now or never!!!

You'd fancy Kilcoo to take Loughmacrory but with McElholm and McCullagh you just never know, forwards of that quality are a total wildcard to any game if they turn up and deliver. 1 point flattered Trillick yesterday, serious performance and a serious coach at their disposal in Ciaran Meenagh. Good luck to them

Probably at least the 3rd time I've said this in recent years - but if Scotstown don't win it this year, they never will. With the notable exception of Kilcoo, there aren't many teams left with as much Ulster experience. Scotstown had to go to extra time to win it yesterday, but their quality showed in the end. Their old heads like the Hughes's are still performing well, plenty of experience in attack with likes of Carey and McCarron. O'Toole and McCarthy made their first appearances off the bench and made an impact, so they're right in time for Ulster. And Beggan remains one of the most influential players in most games he plays in. And despite all of those county players mentioned - top scorer and MOTM was 18 year old Tommy Mallon.

Gonna take a right team to stop them. They've come so close and just got pipped on multiple occasions - you would think if a team full of as much talent keeps getting there, they should get over the line at some point. Kilcoo should still be favourites, but they're on opposite sides, so that would be the final I'd predict. Alot can happen between now and then though

Scotstown took a fair scalping off and were miles behind Kilcoo last year after stunning then the year before. Experience and pedigree counts for little if you're in a different class altogether.

Ciaran Thompson will be a loss for Glenties. Done the ACL in Donegal championship. They got a couple of players since last year. Kieran Gallagher was in Canada for a few years. Good midfielder. Shea Malone back playing with them too. He was with Sligo Rovers the last couple of years.
