Blowitupref

Weather didn't help but the long sustained periods of sideways and backward hand passing made it a very poor Intermediate final watch.

Well done to the two Kerry clubs on winning Junior,Intermediate titles Dingle will be looking to make it 3 from 3 next weekend but surely more football will be played in that final.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

From the Bunker

The Kerry loaded Championship system means that Senior B teams win All Ireland Intermediate Titles and Intermediate B teams win the Junior AI titles.

Might have a Hogan Cup as well?
Cullyhanna lads did it in '24- club first then county. Is that 2 brothers of his on the team or cousins?

2 Hogan Cups, 2013 & 14, All-Ireland Minor 2014 and Sigerson with UCC in 2019 to go with the 2 senior All-Irelands.

Ruaidhri's his brother. Cathal and Aodhna are brothers but no relation between the 2 families.

Quote from: Stall the Bailer on January 11, 2026, 03:11:17 PMAt All Ireland level there is 3 grades. Most counties split their championship in 3 with a fairly even split between them. Kerry are one of the outliers who don't split the divisions like this.

Huh???
2025 Kerry Championship:
16 senior teams
16 intermediate teams
16 junior teams
So they only have 48 clubs now? What happened the rest. What division do the regional teams play in?
16 in the Novice championship also

Do they not have 9 senior clubs and 7 divisional teams (made up of intermediate and junior players) in senior championship. So 10th best team enters Munster from a strong football county with nearly 60 clubs?

Would it not be fairer if their junior champs went into intermediate?

Of course it would.

Tyrone have 16 in senior and 16 in intermediate don't they? So are sending their 17th and 33rd teams. And are regularly very strong. Who would be (roughly) the 10th best team in Tyrone do you think?

Personally have no real issue with league and championship being separate. Kerry should have more than 8 senior clubs though. But that's their choice until something is done about it.

Why can't they have 16 clubs in the senior club championship? Then let the 16 teams compete for 8 slots along with 8 amalgamtions for the county championship.

There are 9 Senior clubs, going up to 10 next year. Tried to make it 12 with 8 divisional teams but Croke park wouldn't allow it.

Glenullin ultras the young lads/supporters in the picture above was apparently told by stewards going into Croke Park that no banners was allowed in, no drums and weren't allowed to put on balaclavas.

They were allowed to bring in those annoying vuvuzelas.

Not a bit intetested in hearing how Kerry Intermediate winners shouldnt be there when the team they beat won 3 of the last 4 county intermediate teams. That's a team who definitely shouldnt have been there.
