Didn't know where to stick this so thought I'd start a new thread that can be used for CWC when it starts.

I bought 6 tickets to PSG v A. Madrid in LA but now can not go. I can return the tickets but do not get an immediate refund, and will only get partial refund if the tickets get resold.

Anyone know what the deal is with selling on the likes of StubHub or other websites like that? The app says my tickets will not be activated until the day of the match but it looks like I am able to send the tickets directly to someone via the app.

Just checked it's  schedule. One month football. Same amount of games as a proper  world cup.

Do players actually want  to play in this shite  after a long season?

Capt Pat

What station is it being televised on? Any of it on terestrial tv?

The good thing is that Man City and Chelsea will have a short off season.

Channel 5 is set to show 23 of the 63 matches: 15 group games, four last-16 ties, two quarter-finals, one semi-final and the final. All remaining matches will be aired by DAZN, the official worldwide broadcaster for the competition.

Probably not but the clubs can't say no to such money

QuoteManchester City and Chelsea could earn up to £97m in prize money from this year's Club World Cup.

The overall prize fund, shared between all 32 teams based on different factors, will be £775m, with £407m divided between all participating clubs and £368m awarded on a performance-related basis.

By comparison, last season's prize money in the Premier League, external ranged from £175.9m for winners City to the £109.7m earned by bottom-placed Sheffield United.

Money awarded for participation is weighted by a ranking based on sporting and commercial criteria, meaning European clubs will earn more for taking part than teams from other continents.

The top-ranked European team by Fifa's metrics will receive £29.6m just for participating - and they would secure the maximum prize available of around £97m for winning all of their group-stage games and then going on to win the tournament.

A group-stage win will net a team £1.5m, with £5.8m for reaching the last 16, £10.2m for reaching the quarter-finals, £16.3m for reaching the semi-finals, and £31m for winning the final.

As a result, Manchester City and Chelsea, the two Premier League sides in the competition who qualified thanks to their recent Champions League wins, could earn the biggest prize money ever awarded in club football over a seven-game format.

Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Flogging players while washing dirty money, about the height of it, if I catch 20mins of it I'll be gutted

They were struggling to find anyone to pay for the rights. Then DAZN magically stumped up the cash, just after Saudi (or maybe one of the other gulf states) invested in DAZN. Coincidence of course

Nonsense tournament. Super league dressed up.

It's a testament to bribery. Nothing more, nothing less.

The same here.

SaffronSports

Haven't really been looking forward to it but if I'm at home an evening and there's a game on, I'll more than likely stick it on.

Sorry lad, I have not resold tickets.

Stubhub seems to be one of the main forums. Ticketmaster also offer resale in the states, including minutes after major events go on sale in the first place!
