Guys
Can we move away from the provos on this thread.
People in the north will have a completely different view that people in the 26  will have regarding the troubles which were 30 years ago .

It's an election not whether the troubles were as a result of the provos despite what MM said .
For me think  ff/fg may  get a bloody nose not by sf but by independents  and the smaller parties.

Its an election yes, but that's the very reason why the Provos are being inevitably being dragged from the past into the debate. So if there are some like Michael Martin and like certain posters on this board who wish to go down that road, then its fair game to challenge them on the silly propagandistic nonsense they attempt to get away with spouting.

On your point regarding independents, I'd also expect a strong showing from them, but a strong showing from independents is generally only a help to FFG governments in the chamber.

SF is a leftwing party in this election . It is time for a change.

But the Provos were in the main a nasty gang of bloodthirsty cnuts who spent most of the 70s and 80s in the 26 Cos. robbing banks as well as murdering servants of the Irish State and others.

To the under 40s that's about as relevant at Ballyseedy or Kilmichael - things that happened in the had old days.
But the older cohort remember it too well.

Look forward to seeing you say the same about Hamas on the other thread lol

MRP constituency polling coming out tonight.  A word of warning, some of the MRP polling for seat numbers in the Westminster election in July was waaaaay out, but that was for FPTP.

Actually just watched the clip of Micheal Martin re the IRA. Not only did he suggest that the conflict was started by the IRA, but that people should be "careful" about suggesting there were two sides in the conflict. He prefaced all that grossly cruelly insensitive tripe by criticising SF for "rewriting history". The absolute f**king neck of him.

The man who stood in the leaders debate last week and said we should be considering "both sides" in a genocide in Gaza, now effectively says there was only one side to blame for the conflict in the north.

The man is a disgusting f**king snake.

Populistic cutting of taxes is hardly a left-wing habit.
Play the game and play it fairly
Play the game like Dermot Earley.

You'd be better off ranting on X, you'd get more traction.

No love for SF, but I'd love to see them in power down Mexico way to ruffle the establishment, FF/FG are terrified of them breaking up the duopoly.

Politics is in a febrile state worldwide so I would expect the margin of error in the polls to be larger than normal. Could be some surprises.

Ranting? I lived through the conflict and had enough people closely associated to me directly impacted by it. Forgive me if I find the would-be Taoiseach attempts to portray those people as non-existent to be absolutely despicable.

It's funny, the Free Stater attitude. It's always OK to talk about the north, right up until the point where the experience of the nationalist community is mentioned. Only then are you dismissed and accused of ranting.

The rogue State of Israel and its War Criminal leader has the bloodthirsty cnut title long "won" in the middle East.

Well said. Amazing the ignorance and lack of knowledge as to what actually went on in the North by people living on the same small island. The west Brit Dublin establishment (with the help of the Brits) did some PR job in fairness.

I see a German vulture fund has bought 207 appartments in south Dublin.

Thanks FFG. Great work.

Well said snapchap.

A good retort by Mary Lou the other night to dumb and dumber when they tried to snipe about healthcare up north would be at least SF recognise that there are 6 more counties on the island ffs.
