Quote from: marty34 on July 24, 2024, 04:47:38 PMIs that Mc Keever doing the Irish rugby jersey?

They're doing all of Ireland's Olympic gear as far as I know.

Good result for the lads to start off!
I see a lot of Adidas gear for the Ireland Olympic squad also. Like the gear the golfers are wearing below.

So I'm not sure it's all MC Keever gear.

McKeevers are the suppliers for the adidas gear as well I think. They're doing everything apparently.

Comprehensive win over Japan there, who had some speed, but no defensive ability at all.

SouthOfThe Bann

That rugby 7's is a great watch.

Are there any other similar events to this worth watching?

I think she's going to struggle to get near a medal never mind win one though I really hope I am wrong. Hull has hit form and others hitting times she wouldn't be fit for though it's championship racing so a bit different.

Realistically she will do well to make an Olympic final without a serious jump in her times.
That's just how tough it is a the very top level.

weareros

That was a great half. Left a third try behind us.

weareros

Conroy a big loss however.

weareros

Ireland really blew that. New Zealand had only two attacks and scored a try each time. Now Ireland meet Fiji.

Capt Pat

Blew it. Could have kicked a penalty to go 8 up could they not?

Couldn't hang on... needed big Ward there for something special towards the end. Fiji later on then?

square_ball

Ireland Rugby team. . . quarter final? What could possibily go wrong?

Fiji are a serious outfit at the 7s. Probably the end of the road for our medal hopes in that one.

They could. In hindsight, that would have been the difference.

Ireland v Fiji in quarter-final tonighg at 9pm (our time). I assume is on RTE 2

Capt Pat

Having had time to think about it, that New Zealand tackle on Conroy as he scored the try was more than a little cynical. Conroy couldn't play any more after it, probably by design rather than accidental.

Capt Pat

New Zealand are out beaten by South Africa. Serves them right for taking out Conroy.

weareros

France just beat Argentina. Dupont with a last second try. Pity RTE did not show.
