Mckindless, CD and loughlin back we have a chance but Mayo have to be heavy favourites

93-DY-SAM

We've had a lot of injuries which hasn't helped our cause losing our entire half back line which was a big part of our driving play.

McKinless (plus his latter suspension - which was fully deserved before I get accused of condoning him)
Loughlinn
McEvoy (who still isn't fit judging last Sat)
McGrogan
CD
Murphy

There were all lads that were starting games and a big void to start filling. Other teams get a bit of a by from pundits because of injuries but we don't mainly because of the Micky Harte factor. Confidence has been shattered and it's a slippery slope from there.

We'll go to Mayo and hopefully, we get as many back and fit as possible for the weekend and give it a shot. Mayo have to be raging hot favourites at this stage. Even for the most ardent Derry supporter, it's hard to see anything else bar a Mayo win and a very possibly a beating out the gate. Which no doubt will please a great many people on here.

Any word if it is a Sat or Sun game and what time?

Loughlin only had an op a couple of weeks ago. There's zero chance of him being ready for another few weeks. Not sure what was up with CD but he seems to have had a tough season trying to get fully fit after that disgusting challenge from Maher of Galway. If he wasn't fit enough to be on the bench this week I wouldn't hold out much hope for him for the Mayo game. Mckinless back will be a big boost though.

Loughlin looked to be moving pretty well in the warm up before the Westmeath game.

Imo, a derry team on form with all our players available beats mayo with all players available and on form.

But Derrys confidence is shot to hell, key players not performing to their own standards, and we've been missing 5 or 6 starting players through injury or suspension. Of those who were injured and have returned, like Mcevoy, they are rusty.

Missing players include Mcevoy, conor doherty,  mcgrogan, mckindless, murphy, loughlin. All key starting players last year except for Murphy.
That's been hard to absorb and with others not playing well and some questionable tactics, it's been a tough and disappointing championship especially after hopes being so high from beating the dubs.

99.9% saturday, as the Tailtean Cup is to be given standalone on sunday. Though was supposed to be the case last year and Mayo Galway was shoehorned in on the sunday.

Just down on website as played between 22nd-23rd so who knows

From the Bunker

They'll more than likely beat the sh*te out of each other. And be not worth a sh*te the next week. The real winner will be who ever draws them.

Is there no ground in Louth than can host the game?

Crazy!
Also... if Tyrone - Roscommon goes to extra time it overlaps Mayo - Derry game which is also on GAAGO.
