The PRO

O'Dempseys looking like bouncing straight back up to Division 1 and Emo doing very well despite being missing Greene, Kirwan and Costello.

The PRO

No surprise here to see Emo, O'Dempseys, The Heath and Arles Killeen in the top 4.

I live across the sea so not being following my club Kilcavan recently. Have I go this right? They are getting promoted ahead of Intermediate contenders Arles Kilcruise and along with Senior side CLonaslee? Also is that Mounmellicks 1st team going down to Div 3?

I need to get home to watch the lads play, bloody hell.

Yes the acfl division 3 final hasnt been played yet but the finalists are clonaslee st mamanns(senior) and kikcavan(junior) both finalists get promoted.

Yes it is Mountmellicks first team they won division 3 last year and didn't do too bad at start of division 2 but didnt do enough to get into winners group and came third in relegation group with them and killeshin being relegated.
Its starting to show which club the Mountmellick parish gaels amalgamation is benefiting the most when Mountmellick gets relegated from division 2 and kilcavan are taking their place. With the youth and skill coming into kilcavan they wont be Junior for much longer and Mountmellick will be praying they reach senior before kilcavan reach Intermediate

I see there is a lad Cian Ryle putting up serious scores for Kilcavan, I wonder if he would be worth a look at country scene? Never seen him play but scoring 1-10 against CLonsalee is no mean feat.

IS this league completed no or what way does promotion and relegation work? I assume top 4 go into semi finals. Is there a relegation playoff also?

Leagues are different to the group stage of last couple years in Division 1-3 there are semi finals and relegation semi finals (which are basically relegation playoffs)

1st plays 4th and 2nd plays 3rd. In the relegation side 5th plays 8th and 6th plays 7th.

With the first of 7 football league finals on tonight going to throw my predictions in if anyone wants to give it a go too.

Div 1 St Joseph's v Ballyroan Abbey - Ballyroan Abbey

Div 2 Clonaslee St Manmans v Arles Killeen - Arles Killeen

Div 3 Mountmellick v Killeshin - Killeshin

Div 4 Ballylinan v Ballyroan Abbey - Ballylinan

Div 5 Portarlington v O Dempseys - Portarlington

Div 6 St Joseph's v O Dempseys - St Joseph's

Div 7 Graiguecullen v Courtwood - Courtwood

The PRO

Div 1 St Joseph's v Ballyroan Abbey - Joseph's - BA lucky to be in the final. Think they could be well beaten.

Div 2 Clonaslee St Manmans v Arles Killeen - Arles Killeen - this could be a tasty game! Killeen's forwards to edge it for them

Div 3 Mountmellick v Killeshin - Killeshin - they could easily be a Division 1 team

Div 4 Ballylinan v Ballyroan Abbey - Ballylinan - senior team last year against a junior team - should be only one winner

Div 5 Portarlington v O'Dempseys - O'Ds - probable be a close one - hard to pick a winner

Div 6 St Joseph's v O'Dempseys - St Joseph's - two third teams - Joe's won league/c'ship double last year

Div 7 Graiguecullen v Courtwood - Graigue - always good to stack a third team!

The Laois GAA site has two Div 2 semi final relegation playoffs which would indicate a final but I was of the understanding that the two teams go down. Is that the case?

Bad wording on the website. Two teams are relegated, Kilcavan and Park Ratheniska. Killeshin and Mountmellick up from Division 3
