Average cost of investigating rape assault in England is £24,000.

Average sentence for convicted rapist 12.7 years. 4 years is minimum term. Gang rape is 10 or more years.

Then the victims life long trauma cost Around £250k lifetime based on 2015 figures. [Home Office Research Report 99 (2018)]

All told this could cost £500k PER PERSON  assuming they do 10 years.

£1.75 millon plus is total cost.

Don't worry, unchecked migration is a boon to the economy, so we'll be well able to afford it.
Given that the vast majority accused aren't immigrants and that there is no unchecked migration what in the utter f**k are you on about

As if that's something to be lauded & celebrated. They're probably all now living on the Ormeau Road, near the bridge, Lisburn Road, near Tesco, or Botanic Avenue, near Caffè Nero.

Well, in this case ALL of them are, and besides, men from certain demographics are over-represented in certain crime stats.
It's acknowledged there are hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants in the UK, and certainly tens of thousands in Ireland. So, yes - that's unchecked. We don't really know who's here, and who's not.

Tell you what let's bring in the ID cards. That'll keep tabs on who's here illegally. I'm sure you'll be all for it, right? Right?

Well the murder was in Cromwell Road a few weeks ago, and the three up on the rape charge are from Agincourt Ave & Canterbury Street so all fairly close.

Anyone who has been in around Botanic/Shaftesbury Square direction can see for themselves.

Parts of South Belfast have become a complete dumping ground........the ready availability of HMOs being the main reason.

Absolutely. The landlords and BCC have been turning it into a slum. It was a shithole when I was in it in the late 90s but it was only culchie students and local residents then. It's now a du.ping ground for immigrants, druggies and assorted wasters as well as students. If I had a daughter I wouldn't let her near the place. Those Somali lads should be dropped off in their homeland from 30000 feet.

ID cards for immigrants? Yeah, sure. Actually, no - electronic tags would be better. Sure, they'd only tear up the ID cards.

How many court cases have you seen involving asylum seekers where they don't even know the proper age of the defendants?

They're dumping their paperwork and their phones, before arrival; no-one actually knows where they've originally come from, their proper age, correct name, previous criminal record, mental health history, nothing. They can tell the authorities any story they want & I would love to know what verification process is undertaken to establish identity, given the obvious difficulties.

It's an utter disaster waiting to happen & it's little wonder that people are getting uptight about it.

Given how women are treated in their own country these cases are not surprising in the slightest.
