Quote from: DaleCooper on October 02, 2025, 11:35:04 AMMeanwhile in Manchester. Synagogue attacked on Yom Kippur. Bald man with big beard, video circulating of police shooting him. Then member of public filming nearby saying "he's got bombs on him".

Thankfully cameramen never die

I wonder how this will be spun by all sides

Quote from: Armagh18 on October 01, 2025, 08:28:55 PMIsrael currently stopping the flotilla entering Gaza. Spain and Italy had sent ships as protection but abandoned them when they got close.

The people on the flotilla knew this would happen, it's all for show. I know it's to bring further attention to what Israel are doing, but the reaction is a bit manufactured.
The people were doing nothing wrong. Israel is 100% in the wrong and something should be done about it by world leaders.

I agree completely Israel are in the wrong.
The point I was trying to make is that the people in the flotilla knew there was no way Israel were going to let them sail into Gaza and start handing out aid.

Given that you understand that the real intention of the flotilla is to bring attention to what Israel is doing, then it's bizarre that you haven't figured out that the "manufactured" reaction is (quite rightly) aimed at doing precisley the same thing. Especially at a time when the acts of slaughter are barely more mentioned as a footnote in the mainstream news in recent times.

Saw videos of it.

Horrendous stuff.

Eight years since the Ariana Grande incident where 22 were killed and over a 1000 injured. The government [who bore corporate responsibility for the murders] told people not to "Look Back in Anger".

My cousin was at the gig. If not for the surveillance state I wonder how many extra atrocities would have occurred.

They've gotten it wrong plenty of times too, the Brazilian lad after the 7/11 terror attacks sticks in my memory!

But yes, surveillance has cracked down on a lot of stuff and has put a lot of people behind bars based on their movements after attacks and murders

Manchester synagogue attacker named by police: Counter Terrorism Police have confirmed the name of the suspect of the Manchester synagogue terror attack as 35-year-old Jihad al Shamie, a British citizen of Syrian descent.

Who could have foreseen this?

Probably find out he already on their watch list.

Did anything else happen in the world today, wall to wall. Horrendous any innocent person killed by some headcase though never saw The One Show pause at the start to remember the thousands of kids butchered in Gaza.

Could not agree more, yes tragic that people lost their lives in Manchester today, but Sky News seems to have been an all day love in for the Jewish Community.  Just seen 2 w@nkers interviewed there this evening, one was saying the way things are now in Britain this must have been what it was like for Jews in Germany just prior to WW2 while the other says that Jews have been abandoned by the United Nations.

As mentioned the loss of life in Manchester today is a tragedy but re the Jewish community there is no one like them when it comes to playing the victim.

Absolutely sickening.

turns out they shot one of the two people who were killed yesterday. Not confirmed if this contributed to or caused his death. One of the people in hospital also shot but not life threatening

You'd have to wait for post mortem but yeah, shows the chaotic nature of these events. The Southport incident wasn't met with the same response, that animal should have been put down at the scene
