Its a little respite for Israel. 75% plus of Knesset backs Netanyahu. The official opposition put out a NYT Op Ed other day that clearly explains their goals. The only thing that can sort Israel out is the US, and we will be waiting a while for that.

"opposition to the recognition of Palestinian statehood stands at the heart of [the Israeli] consensus," a stance he maintains is "rooted in the hard realities of our region."

The notion of some large dissenting faction within Israel has always been nonsense.

They are all in and should be subject to collective punishment when the time comes.

Let's see how long it lasts. Jews are on top of the pile in greater Israel. Income levels are far higher than Palestinian income levels. It's about money and keeping the system going. Only outside action can change things. US support for Israel is falling.

They are in a blind panic because American youth are 60% probably more against Israel

"Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar secured a $150 million allocation for global public diplomacy, known in Hebrew as hasbara.

The allocation was about 20 times more than previous hasbara budgets, and the ministry started receiving the funds in May"

Note this is just official state level information, it doesn't account for the incredible influence these people have obtained over the media/entertainment complex.

All the opinion polls show 2 things. 1. 60% are still pro Israel but opposed to the genocide. 2. 20% want to cut Israel loose.

The Economist did a story on this - gist is no US politcian can ignore those numbers. Most Jews are opposed to Netanyahu so they are safe from the antisemitic charge.

Israel currently stopping the flotilla entering Gaza. Spain and Italy had sent ships as protection but abandoned them when they got close.

Sinn Fein senator kidnapped by Israel.

We really should be pushing the UN to send a peace keeping force.

Meanwhile in Manchester. Synagogue attacked on Yom Kippur. Bald man with big beard, video circulating of police shooting him. Then member of public filming nearby saying "he's got bombs on him".

Thankfully cameramen never die

The people on the flotilla knew this would happen, it's all for show. I know it's to bring further attention to what Israel are doing, but the reaction is a bit manufactured.

The people were doing nothing wrong. Israel is 100% in the wrong and something should be done about it by world leaders.
