The bombing of some hospitals and schools that where  left suggests Isreal and its western lapdogs have achieved their goals in Gaza. The place is or soon will be no longer fit for living in. After fighting for decades on behalf of the Palestinians, Finkelsteins voice and body language is one of despair and weariness.

I don't doubt that. I think  a lot of people feel  the same.

It is absolutely unbelievable  how nobody of influence is  shouting "stop!" . The world  really is being run by a cabal of  psychotic , murdering b******ds.

Well that's it entirely, AP.

When we were young, we wondered how ordinary people went along with Hitler.

As a pre-teen, I read the fantastic Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee, and I wondered the very same thing about why ordinary people didn't stand against  the genocide the European settlers carried out against the native Americans.

And now we know.

And it's quite simple, really.

Those of us with conscience lack power. Those of us with power lack conscience.

Depressingly true.

That's it, sociopaths climb over decent folk to get to the top in business and politics

100%
Our local politicians don't say jack shit worth talking about. Our religious orders don't say jack shit worth talking about.

I can only conclude that every political and religious leader in the west 'know their place' and are complicit in their inaction.

No doubt SF are already looking forward to their paddies day trip. Sickens me

The US system is easy to capture. The National Rifle Association and the America Israel PAC are immensely powerful even though they represent tiny minorities.
This will change when the politics change. And they all lived happily ever after.

It's a depressing state of affairs - is it human nature to be like this?
I don't know how anyone seeing those images and clips coming out of Gaza could not be moved to call for an end to it no matter what.
I was a Corbyn supporter, not because I was massively a Labour supporter but he was a politician who seemed to want to do the right thing for everyone, and still does call out this genocide. Look what happened to him.
Power corrupts. Money corrupts. Greed corrupts. Donal Trump is an extreme case of "I'll say and do what I want", but the rest of the west seems to be no different they just dont overtly state it.

America really is the global leader in terrorist states, ably assisted by their British counterparts.
Without them, the Israeli Zionist extremists couldn't do what they are doing.

Never a truer word spoken. Depressing.

The footage doing the rounds on social media of people being burned alive in their tents, after the bombing of the hospital in Gaza yesterday, is truly horrifying. The fact that this is allowed to happen in the 21st century underlines the brutal reality - that in the West, these people's lives are considered to be of absolutely no value.

Utterly desperate.

Rossfan

Absolutely appalling what Western Governments are supporting or allowing.
Also all those mid East muslim Countries sitting idly by.
Play the game and play it fairly
Play the game like Dermot Earley.

Brendan

It's been reduced to one line mentions in the news, "x amount of people have died when a school was been bombed in Gaza, Israel say they are investigating."

Sickening.
God help those people.

Why are the other muslim countries in the region not banding together to retaliate? Maybe that's the ultimate goal of Israel and the US. If they do retaliate, gives the US justification for another war.

Denn Forever

Another war? America don't want that after their major slump since 1945. Forgot Grenada.  As Bill Hicks said, hell of a weekend.
