Cork let the occasion get to them but settled eventually. Tyrone will have regrets, some of the forward play in particular. Very hard to be sure of what lads will come through to Senior, even more so from U17, but you wouldn't be surprised if Tyrone get more out of it than Cork. Tyrone Nr 6 best player on the pitch for me.

Tyrone lose both U-17 and U-20 finals this year after winning both last year.

Cork U17 footballers showed the senior hurlers how it's done. Big Cork following at the match, for all the success Tyrone have at underage it's still just mainly family members of the players that support their teams.

Some quite selfish play from the Tyrone forwards in that last quarter...a couple of goals attempts taken on when there was a man or two in much better positions to score.

Is Meenan carrying an injury? He hardly moved from the No 6 position during open play. Usually at the heart of everything running through the middle, can't think of one occasion he had a run with the ball.

Fair play to Cork lads for sticking at it and enjoy the celebrations, I'm sure these teams will lock horns again in the next few years at u20

Yeah silly enough of McGuckin to make that run and get dispossessed. Thought they were gonna do keep ball. Had enough chances to win, cork easily could have had few more goals

Meenagh has been sick all week. Heard on the pitch after. Hence the little movement but hes a big lad needed around the middle. Missing him, 7 went off after 20 minutes and captain injured, seriously unlucky. Thought the ref was very sore on us after the penalty. Seen someone talk about the keeper foul, he won the ball, shouldn't even have been a free

Cork were quite fumblesome and error-strewn for a lot of that but with so much possession in the second half they eventually made it count. Tyrone looked a lot sharper and better-coached early on but with the wind after the break, Cork eventually made hay. I wouldn't say Tyrone will fret too much having won a pile at underage already and plenty of evidence the pipeline isn't running dry any time soon.
