Valencia Schweinsteiger Fletcher Nasri.. Imagine that! Schweinsteiger would be perfect United player, versatile, energetic and a bit of class!
I intend to live forever. So far, so good.

Is the Ashley Young deal tied up? Think he would be a useful addition. United were very stretched for creative wide players when Valencia was out injured last season. Jones should prove a good addition in years to come. Central midfield really, really needs to be addressed now. At least one top quality player needs to be signed but probably two are needed.

On the lads leaving - am surprised O'Shea is being let go. Has been a good servant and quite versatile but an apparent lack of aggression always seemed to me to be the difference between being adequate and really good. Brown was a good servant to United too. Tenacious defender but prone to concentration lapses and poor in the air for this level. Gibson - frustrating player. Looked capable of great things at times but very ordinary far too often. He might benefit from more regular game time.

Jones is a good signing, having seen him play for Blackburn a few times he's a big talent! maybe 17m is a bit much for a 19 year old but he'll be worth it the long run.

Not a done deal yet. Rovers want £25m  http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/927133/phil-jones-valued-by-rovers-at-L25m,-not-L16m-?cc=5739
I'm gonna show you as gently as I can how much you don't know.

Nasri looks to be on the way out of Arsenal, would be a very strange move if he ended up at OT.

The deal will go through no matter what, Slur will want to rub Kenny's nose in it and if it costs a few extra spondulicks then so be it.

Can someone explain to me why Paul Scholes testimonial is against NY cosmos? Surely he could have had any team on the planet possibly even a world 11?

is that not cantona's team? why does the opposition in a testimonial matter anyway

NY Comos are going to have a guest team, as they arent set up yet properly from what I know. Therefore it will be a world 11, clever thinking on all parts.

Thats more interesting, would love to see Zidane line out, or the Fat Ronaldo.

Was chatting to a guy in work and he said he saw Ronaldo retired there and scored his last goal. He is supposedly huge. He could have a heart attack before the testimonial now that he is retired!

Terrible shame the way the latter part of his career went. One of the all time great goalscorers if the not the best. Still only 34 as well.

Matters in ticket sales i can imagine, for example a Barcelona game would sell out but NY Cosmos would only get 50,000
