1-1 we'll take it both sides not ruthless up front. Thank god for zlatan
It's hardly possible to build anything if frustration, bitterness and a mood of helplessness prevail

Absolutely no pattern to the game whatsoever!! Sitting with father in law who played to a very good local level and coached Irish league clubs and he said it was dreadful... he's a Liverpool man so very happy to keep that gap...

With City losing that was a golden opportunity for Utd, Pogba was obviously too hyped up, Carrick was not in the ball as Liverpool to their credit presses Utd all the time... Herra did ok without producing anything Valancia was good and Jones had a great match too

Zaltan is a man for big occasions
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

Liverpool got lucky on the peno and parked the bus with Mingolet playing a blinder. United were poor but should've won by 2 or 3.

Both teams could have won that but how anyone could claim either could have won by 2 or 3 is ridiculous.  Draw a fair result but as I said both teams will view it as an opportunity missed.

Good days work for the London teams

Building a team around a 36 year old is Mourinhos biggest mistake and there is a cult around Ibrahimovic that elevates him to a status that his performances do not merit. Far too slow and immobile and he is holding the team back. Granted there are plenty of other problems but 8 points out of the last 21 is poor form and the manager will probably now get a 3 game ban as well. I'm not sure that the spine of a decent team even exists, far too many overpaid prima donnas on big contracts not bothered.

Zlatan dragged them back into it again today.

What are the other options?
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity

2 poor defences on show today

Pleased with the point in the end, just didn't think the goal would come. We were poor in the first half and don't think we were much better in the 2nd half but created the better chances throughout the game and deserved a point. Pogba was poor but like Carrick and Liverpool targeted them and gave neither player any space, I'm sure Pogba will manage to work it out in the future. Valencia gain was outstanding and was time and time again the outlet whilst left back is becoming a huge problem as Darmain offers nothing going forward and its causing us problems, with the way Liverpool started the game it was both fullbacks who were given plenty of time on the ball.  Rooney got himself in good positions when he came but offered very little in terms of quality and was knackered come the last 5 minutes.

Jones & Rojo played well but their lack of height from set pieces is a problem, you need at least one player in the back 4 who's brilliant in the air. Credit to both of them with their performances the last 2 months, I'd imagine they'll both be here next season.

As long as we go on another run a point isn't the worst result in the world, if we don't make top 4 its because of the dropped points against Stoke, Burnley, West Ham & Arsenal not today.

Jeepers Creepers

I had a sneaking  suspicion that utd would win today with their run of form but they were chronic. liverpools passing and presing at times was excellent and very much played like a 'home' team, however i think Klopp will regret not really going for it after going one up will have the more sleepless night tonight. Small  margins btw the five teams below Chelsea makes it an interesting battle for top 4. Thank god Utd signed ibrahimovic. ( Though Fellini certainly made an impact as well. That def his is job.)

I don't think I ever saw worse technical ability from these two teams in my life, atrocious!

The United substitutions were hit and miss, Rooney was disinterested but managed to deliver a great cross off the weak side and the odd long diagonal, ball, Mata was useless for once yet Fellaini was the difference maker when he came on, he has tremendous technical ability and he hurt Liverpool several times in a cameo appearance, he got United the point.

If Rashford was not injured it was criminal to not play him, Liverpool well worth a point but in reality this result hurts both teams, and as for City? )
Armagh, the one true love of a mans life.

I don't think that result hurts Liverpool at all. That was a great point under the circumstances. They won't be playing sides like United every week, while the rest of the top six will all have weekends where they play and take points off each other.

What's hurt Liverpool is blowing leads at Bournemouth and Sunderland and the likes. That's what they have to address.

As for Pogba, the expression Pride Before a Fall has never been more apt.   Who the fcuk does he think he is trying to promote himself throughout the fixture?   Fergie would've sorted that nonsense out quick!

Just seen the Rooney tackle on milner again and he can count himself lucky not to have seen red.
I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look good either

Apart from Barcelona what team doesn't go route one in the final few mins when a goal behind? On the balance of play and chances created United deserved at least a draw.
