Spurs supposed to be getting Berahino. Does that mean Kane is on his way (hopefully to United)?

Seems United are going to lose out to citeh on Otamendi and Ramos is signing a new 5 year deal at Real.

I'd imagine Berahinho is the replacement for Soldado who is away to Villareal.  I don't know if Kane will move this year, I think he will need at least 1 more good year to warrant it.  United might struggle to get a striker as there are no real big name options out there who are available.

You would hope that one day United's scouts actually earn their money, there are bound to be top quality strikers out there that simply haven't been 'discovered'.  Be a poor enough window if United don't recruit a CB and CF.

Well from talking to Valdes I wouldn't go to United either Ballinaman

I think yer dodging a bullet with Kane TBH, his stats don't back him up, he just had a fantastic year last year
Excuse me for talking while you're trying to interrupt me

I dont think he would be worth the money that it would take to get him either. I think he thrives on crosses and that is something Utd seem to have gone away from and alot of the play is through the middle. Not the best stuff to watch at the moment but hopefully they will hit a bit of form soon and get the performances to go with the results.

He'd be better than Rooney. Hopefully Rooney turns it around but this is not a recent issue - been poor for a long time now.

Who would your preference be to come in Seanie?

I'd honestly say I don't watch enough of other leagues and other teams to be an authority on this but I'm  concerned that Rooney is done. In the light of that, there are a lot of players worth considering. I would have liked Benteke, think he'll be great for Liverpool. Lukaku always looked a good player to me. I never saw him play but Lacazette scored a lot of goals in France last year, might be worth a punt. If you saw just how bad Rooney was on Friday you'd realise it is a crisis.

I suspect no-one will come in and Memphis might end up playing up front.

Looks like the Pedro deal is going ahead.

The Champions League music will ring out around Old Trafford tonight after last seasons aberration. Tricky tie but you'd have to expect United should get through over two legs. No goals conceded tonight is vital.

Interesting stat on Sky last night. Since November 8th last season in the league United have the best defensive record in terms of goals conceded (23). Chelsea are next with 27 followed by Arsenal and City with 28. Then come Southampton on 33. Maybe the dire need for a centre half isn't as dire as it's made out to be????

Walter Cronc

What channel is it on guys??

Off topic - Am I right in saying that the Premier League need one of the four sides to make the semi finals or they risk losing the 4th CL place to Seria A?

2-1 at half time and look the better team. Unlucky with the own goal. Depay is going to be some player for Utd.

GJL

Get in!!  Well deserved.

Agree, whatever about Le Tissier on Sky, Utd deserved to be two up going into the second leg.
