Arsenal haven't sold a player to Man United since the 80s, not a hope in hell of that changing anytime soon.

To be fair times have changed and now the player has the power when his contract is running down. If Nasri wants to go to United he will go, Arsenal would rather sell him for £15m than lose him for free. Though I suspect Nasri is doing a bit of a Rooney/Tevez to increase his salary offer on a new contract anyways.

Nasri has no say, if doesn't sign up expect him to be sold to Madrid or Munich or that ilk. Anything else is just tabloid fodder.

Do you seriously believe that in this day and age a player and his agent are simply unwilling pawns in a bigger game.

Having seen Bebe play in the reserves alot last season the talent is definitely there but he's still too raw for United first team action yet what people forget he's still only 20 & some players take longer than others to develop.

Besiktas is a good more for him, how he handles the atmosphere of the Istanbul derbies will be interesting.

As for the fixtures i just noticed Man United v Chelsea which is sure to be switched to Sunday will be on All Ireland football final day.

Saw them play quite a bit myself and I have to say I disagree with you, I thought he was awful and felt for the poor lad at times. His cameo in the Nevillers testimonial did nothing to ease my fears either. One ITK on another forum said one staff member had described him as being like a fan that had won a competition to play with his favourite team . I'd say if they offer a couple of mill, United would bite their hands off.

Did I say that?, Arsenal own his contract, he wants to upgrade it, they are haggling, if an impasse is reached Arsenal still own his contract however as there is only 1 year left the value of that contract in the market is not great. Arsenal will decide not Nasri whether an offer from Man United is what is best for Arsenal not Nasri, he has no say in the matter unless Arsenal decide to let him stay and then in January he can sign a pre-contract agreement with whoever he likes. So until Jan he has very little say. Arsenal will not sell to Man United. They are not stupid!!

Besides money is Nasri not annoyed at being shoved out on the wing?

Wasn't commenting on the actual Nasri case as I've no clue as to whether United are interested in him or if he wants the transfer himself or if Arsenal would be willing to sell,  just a generalisation that what players want nowadays they usually get.
