Good to see Nani showing no ill effects from that horror tackle alright.

Rumour that Hargreaves was going to train today too but didn't see him in any of the photos

Rumours last week that he was retiring with United getting the insurance.

Delighted to see Nani's back after his lay off.

i hope fergie isn't doing a Wenger..rushing a injured player back for a auld CL tie.

Exactly, the plaster could come off his leg and he might  have to get another one on.

:D

Would doubt there be any insurance payable, think he's out of contract in a couple of months?

Not defending Carra's tackle in any way as it was bad but how come nothing is being said of the twins 2 footed assault on Lucas?

Just cause Lucas had the agility to get out of the way of it does it mean it's not as bad?

EC Unique

It was a bad tackle but the one that leads to a player being strechered off and replaced will always get more attention. I think it was Carras tackle that got the temperature up that lead to a couple of other incidents in the moments following including the twins.

I thought both tackles were condemned on here and in most others places?

The Worker

That twin is a pure hot head, hes been at it a few times over the last year.

City in the carling cup last season, the spurs game were he went off on one at the ref, and that lunge on lucas spring to mind.

magpie seanie

Well he was obviously pissed off at Maxi nearly knee capping him and no free being awarded so he had a rush of blood to the head.

Spot on, how people here who have played any kind of sport cannot fathom the reaction of Rafael is beyond me, you see it at training every week when someone pulls a dirty one on someone else the victim usually sees red, natural human reaction.
'To the extreme I rock a mic like a vandal, light up a stage and wax a chump like a candle.'

supersarsfields

People might understand the reaction. But that doesn't mean make it any better. Nor would it lessen the damage that he could have done if Lucas hadn't gotten outa the way.

;D  ;D Go away and cop yourselves on the pair of ye  ::)  ::)

Carmen Stateside

Whats to say Nanny didnt call Carragher a scouse cnut, it would be a natural reaction to put him in the front row. How people who have played any sport cannot fathom the reaction of carra is beyond me!

I'd imagine most people here aren't paid tens of thousands of pounds a week to be a sportsman - maintaining discipline even when provoked would be demanded.

Anyway, Nani wants out apparently http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/mar/15/nani-manchester-united-move-italy

Horseshite comments from both though you come to expect that on this thread. Rafaels tackle on Lucas was mere milliseconds after Maxi tackled Rafael, there wasn't even time for the Ref to give a free never mind book Maxi.
There is no way Rafaels tackle was some sort of retaliation for Maxis tackle.
Its just a poor excuse from hypocritical United fans.
Nordie Tayto is shite

It is obvious from that comment that you have never spent much time on a competitive football pitch!   I have seen your type before. Best ignored.
